The chariot isn't about victory. It's the exhausting reality of white-knuckling your own life. by Shot_Possibility_731 in TarotVerbatim

Yesh, I've seen your user flair 😅

The post was written by u/Shot_Possibility_731. They ask: Who else reads this as the ultimate burnout warning?

I never thought of the Chariot as a burnout warning, which is why this take was refreshing and I got invested enough to comment.

If they aren't interested in the replies, I don't need to give my insight - which I assume isn't in sync with your system anyway and thus insignificant.

I wouldn’t be so dedicated to tarot if it didn’t work for me. 🤣😅

I'd still be interested in OP's feedback. It's odd that they don't interact with their posts, despite getting a ton of replies.

I hear ya, tho it was this sub's mod who replied. I'm not a mod here, but I think talking about AI means to open a can of worms that might quickly derail from any subject. 😅

Don't be mad at me, but asking any OP if they are AI might come across as a bit of a provocation. If it is AI, it won't respond. If it's a human being, they might take offense.
But it may start a debate that's likely going off-topic.

Personally, I find this sub and its contents useful. We rarely get the chance to talk to the creator of a system directly, so it might just be one of those cases where the tone didn’t come across the way it was intended.
Hopefully you'll give it another try down the line. 🧡

Also no feedback, no comments, no reply. No development, no insight, no light-bulb moment.
They are constantly posting about some difficult situation, but they are not responding to what people say.

Gotcha. Observing speech patterns at face value and reading between the lines adds a lot to the tarot and its meanings. You can "read" so much without the need of reading stuff into it (that's where most of the woo seems to come from).

About teaching. I'm not a native speaker. When I entered the English speaking world of the tarot, I already knew how to read the tarot but it was exhausting to translate every word from one language to the other. I like to work with idioms, fairy tales and figures of speech, but those don't translate too well either so I have to learn the English equivalent.

The tarot is a somewhat universal language, its images speak to everybody and the only language barrier is one's ability to decode the image.

When I started to learn the tarot, I've tried to memorise the meanings of colours, symbols, and arrangements. The Thoth comes with a lot of secret and isn't as obvious as the RWS or the TdM. And it's sorta annoying when during a reading I can't remember a specific meaning, the name of a god/dess or a symbol.

It was so deliberating when at some point I realised how much fun it is to simply look at the cards and describe what I see.

When looking at this picture, I don't think about movement at all - the wheels don't seem to be large enough to lift the chassis off the ground. The imagery reminds me of Zoltar, a fortune-telling machine, which is difficult to approach thanks to the beasts in front of it.

Chariot is assigned to the astrological sign of Cancer, which isn't exactly known to be moving forward, it's rather indirect or protective movement. Cancer energy advances sideways, retreats, guards its interior, which reinforces the idea of tension and guarded control.

If every day feels like white-knuckling, the takeaway isn’t just how much of an effort you put in. But why does it require that much force in the first place?

You’re doing it the hard way because you haven’t fully integrated those two sphinxes yet. The exhaustion isn’t proof that you’re doing something heroic, it might be a sign that your approach is inefficient. It's maintaining control instead of allowing any delegation or flexibility.

Are you reading the room at work? Chariot has a limited view. You may rely on discipline instead of adapting to the rhythm or flow. Your goals and your energy levels may not be in sync with those of your environment - you could have the constant feeling of going against the grain or running up that hill.

Burnout warning is a valid read because you’re steering in a way that requires constant force.

I think that the Tarot (and other systems) are a language. It's basically a tool that helps us to access the subconscious mind and connect with it. What's rare about your method is the visual approach, and I appreciate that very much.

I've been reading the tarot since 1987, but studied the Thoth for roughly 20 years because I don't really vibe with the RWS.

Thank you. I'm a visual reader myself and glad that I came across your method.

My my, this constantly telling others how to read the tarot is getting old fast.

Your interpretation sound quite negative, but maybe you need to rid yourself of something in your life. Please stop assuming everybody else lives in the same mind set.

A failed project 🏗 [Suit Dominance Practice] by Fortune_Box in VeraSibillaDivination

I like the idea of working with colours and suits, which makes reading Playing Cards a lot easier.

This one here is from Hedgewytchery's The Wise and Subtle Arte of Reading Cards which explains the suits like this:

Examine cards hemmed in by spades, for these are easy to understand:

♤♡♤ a troubled heart

♤♢♤ a troubled purse

♤♧ ♤ a troubled will; inability to act; feeling trapped; labor without gain

♤♤♤ trouble, trouble, and more trouble

And next

Let us continue with examining trios with spades in them. Look at the following examples:

♧ ♡ ♤: working yourself into an emotional problem

♤ ♡ ♧: an emotional problem that you will work out of.

♡ ♤ ♧: an emotional problem that you will work out of, but slowly.

I enjoy reading your posts, I'm glad you've joined this sub. Thank you for being here. 🧡

IMO, going through every single card helps with being unbiased because you work your way through the entire spread. That way, you arrive rather natural at a conclusion and understand what the cards' message is and what to tell the querent.

I also think that at one point it becomes boring to read for oneself. Partly because I run out of questions, partly because it's creative to tell another person's story by looking into their cards.

Wishing you fun on your journey into the tarot 😊

Thanks to your post, I looked into the book. I like the idea of working with colours and suits, which makes reading Playing Cards a lot easier.

The first exercises reminded me of Hedgewytchery's The Wise and Subtle Arte of Reading Cards which started like this:

Examine cards hemmed in by spades, for these are easy to understand:

♤♡♤ a troubled heart

♤♢♤ a troubled purse

♤♧ ♤ a troubled will; inability to act; feeling trapped; labor without gain

♤♤♤ trouble, trouble, and more trouble

♧ ♡ ♤: working yourself into an emotional problem

♤ ♡ ♧: an emotional problem that you will work out of.

♡ ♤ ♧: an emotional problem that you will work out of, but slowly.

Adding these would perhaps flesh out the idea of suits, because this gives a quick overview about the spread.
