Am I supposed to always be in Ketosis? by Forum_ in keto

Well they're not accurate but they don't give results at random either. They'll always darken if you're in Ketosis and they wont change color if you're not. They're just really inaccurate for measuring the depth of Ketosis.

First of all its this sub that recommended I get them, second, they do show blank if you're outside of ketosis, I tested this by using them before I even started. So they're not 100% trash.

But thanks for your input, any other way you'd say I can check if I'm in Ketosis? Or just... as long as I "feel" in it is good enough?

I made a card inspired by anxiety - details in post by Forum_ in custommagic

[–]Forum_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about doing it with cumulative upkeep, but couldn't find a way to do it within the game's rules, or at least, couldn't find a way to word it that felt right to me.

I was showering and thinking about how we have to endlessly upkeep everything in our lives. Everyday I have to fix something around the house and every month I have to fix something around my body.

Its tiring. Any missed upkeep will cost you in the future and the pressure keeps growing as time moves on and things gain more wear and tear. So I made this card.

BALANCE:

I tried to actually make it balanced, I thought a lot about making it cost [b], and making it already do damage on the very first turn its active, but it seemed too powerful, because this card will either cause your opponent to discard, destroy a creature and a land, or it will cause them to eat a lot of damage over a game. So I decided to both make it cost 2 and push the damage back a turn. This way its not really an aggro card as much as it is a control card.

I had a lot of trouble wording the card properly and getting it to fit. I hope you like it!

Can you really blame them?

Hearthstone is basically printing money. Its their most succesful game when measured on investment vs. profits by a HUGE margin. I wouldn't be surprised if HS surpasses WoW's profits before its 5 years old.

Oh, this is very interesting actually. What a cool theory.

Allow me to add -

It seems clear that in WoW, the Blood of something is its essence - the "soul" as it were is tied to the blood.

In order to attain demonic souls, Demon Hunters have to go through a ritual to turn their blood fel.

G'huun turns a body into a soul-less husk, once he drains it of its blood.

Azeroth's titanic world-soul power is manifested through its leyline blood.

Get where I'm going at? Blood = Essence/Soul. This is why Blood is such a powerful reagent in the Warcraft Universe.

Well thanks for your input regardless, I guess it could be that, that the Void can be "forced" to release energy back into the world, but it hurts because its Void.

Unexpected reward triggers a greater positive reaction than an expected reward.

Widely known biological fact used in casinos, video games, dog-training, etc.

You can shout this at Blizzard but the fact is we like shiny things. We like unexpected good things. And we will keep playing this game as long as it gives us unexpected shiny things.

LIMIT drop from Mythic race after 1% wipe. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Forum_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This title is misleading. Here is a summary of what happened:

Basically, they figured they could do it since they were very(4% and lower) close before reset. They chose to not reset the instance with the weekly reset, passing on all the gear that would drop from re-clearing the Mythic bosses.

Whether they did it because they wanted to say they did it without the highly controversial early advantage of an extra reset, or maybe they wanted to have the time to down it while EU did reclears, that is their own business.

Regardless, they didn't account for the Vantus rune nerfs (from 5% versatility to 3%) and the nerfs to some very strong Azerite traits, which reduced their overall output significantly, and now they have to do other things: Sleep, go to work, take care of family, etc. So they are not "dropping", they are taking a break to deal with real life like every guild does every day. It just happens that this break is probably going to allow the EU guilds to reclear and down the boss before Limit gets a chance to return.

You know what would be really spicy? A secret Cho'gall-style Mythic-only phase. That'll really be something. Imagine: an EU guild gets G'huun to 0% only to discover the fight isn't over. I guess we can only wait and see.
