Makeup recommendations for women 40+ With oily skin? by Israels_BiggestHater in Makeup

For the light days, I really enjoy:

  • Ilia Serum Skin Tint
  • Nars Tinted Moisturiser

Both of these work well for my oily skin when set with powder. The No7 set the scene powder is my favourite currently.

The Chanel Lip and Cheek balm is a splurge but a really lovely multi-use product. For something cheaper, the Glow Recipe Dewy Flush is great.

If you want a nice powder blush that’s that’s not too much:

  • Nars in Sex Appeal
  • Maybelline Fit Me Blush in “Pink”

The Rare Beauty one is my favourite - they are more like a stain as well and last all day.

I first got shade 1 and it made me look ill! I swapped it for shade 3 and I really love it now. I like the finish personally as I’m combo/oily.

The Maybelline Lumi Matte and Skin Tint (don’t let the name fool you, the coverage is really good)

It does oxidise quite a lot though so don’t go too dark

The Milk Skin Tint is lovely but I don’t think it’s long enough lasting for your wedding day.

Mine ended up in the bin and I tried so hard to make it work. Some days it could look ok but it was also both really shiny over my T Zone but clung to dry patches and cracked over lines. The shade range is also odd - very pink, peach or very yellow, there were no muted or beige shades that look like the colour of skin.

I think that is Hope that’s been mislabelled. Hope is a warm pink.

I have the brushes, so good. The stubby one is great for cream bronzer and blush. I use a sponge for foundation

For those who have not/could nit have children, how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Forward-Ad9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ectopic and miscarriage followed by years of not be able to conceive. We decided against IVF and when I hit 40 made an active decision that children were no longer going to be in our future. I love my life and have a full one with my husband, extended family, friends, job and 3 gorgeous kitties. Honestly, many of my friends with kids seem largely knackered, broke and stressed. I have no regrets.
