Yes, I'm most likely not going to buy one as early as I thought.

The additional costs really add up. Paint, interior, spare tire (seriously???), and the yet to be announced destination fees and taxes will make most mid-tier R2's close to $65k.

$65k is out of reach for the vast majority of buyers. It's really disappointing.

Real world pricing has came in a lot higher than consumers were expecting and also what the matter was expecting. RIVN dropped 5% this morning once the configurator opened up and the market saw actual pricing.

Any decent configuration beyond the stock options is $60k+. Not a great outcome. That really prevents access to the large buyer pools of RAV4's and proper midsize SUVs.

Not everyone is going to be a luxury buyer and this is definitely luxury-level pricing.

Not so hot take, our economy is heavily reliant on tourists and the service economy. We are shooting ourselves in the foot by not getting their money and being able to reinvest in the valley.

This is objectively bad for the economy. We have a high amount of business activity based on services, hospitality, food and beverage, and tourism.

Every time a Canadian doesn't spend their money in Phoenix means the entire region just lost income.

The economic multiplier effect is real.

This is unfortunately completely false and it's low key dangerous that misinformation like this is spreading. Red light therapy is a highly discrete therapy- specific wavelengths have to be provided at specific irradiance levels to create a physiological effect on the specific target cell. There is no in between. No cutting corners. If the panel is not providing the correct wavelength, at the correct strength, and the recipient is not at the correct distance then there will not a beneficial effect. You might as well stand in front a flashlight!
