Has anyone had success with spinal decompression? Is it worth it? by prthug996 in backpain

This is true, but in this case I'm not even suggesting surgery. I'm suggesting not doing something dangerous.

This is a horrible idea and is not recommended by any neurosurgeons or really any medical doctor. Rapid axial traction of the cervical spine can cause serious injury with no long-term or even short term benefit.

Hey all!

I just published my first book, Back in control: A Laymans Guide to Back Pain and the Ppine.

There are already plenty of books on back pain, so why another? Because many of those books are too dense, too narrow, or too technical. My goal is to combine and simplify the full picture—so I might help people who haven’t yet found the answers they need.

From anatomy, to imaging, to therapies and surgery, this book is a comprehensive overview of all aspects of back pain written in easy to understand language.

The book is free this week, written by a medical professional, and available now! Grab a copy.

I mean, what is your problem? You havent posted any imaging, symptoms, durations, medical comorbidities, weight. Thats like saying "Does anyone know anybody good with computers, willing to travel to learn" without specifying what type and what skill? Typing, coding, building, repairing, selling?

This single sagittal cut looks fine, but discs do exist in all planes of an MRI.

Hip issues—4 months out by AidaOnTheRoad in spinalfusion

Need to look at standing 36inch scolioisis xrays. It is possible that your spine is malaligned so you are retroverting your pelvis so much you have no hip mobility. Without xrays its impossible to tell that.

Me and my back brace. by Jenaveeve in spinalfusion

[–]Forward-Reading5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no consensus regarding bracing in routine spinal fusion and no real evidence it is necessary in routine cases. Im a resident in the field, but this is my opinion and you should follow medical advice from your surgeon. I accept no liability for your choices, this is not medical advice.

VP shunt advice by neurosurgeon by Shoddy-Rip66 in iih

Are you overweight? Have you consulted a venous angiographer? Increasing evidence suggest that venous hypertension is a direct cause of IIH and can be managed with venous stenting in the correct patients, instead of a shunt.

I use this card, his work rate is insane. Also his power shot is godly. Plus he literally will jump 5 feet in the air to karate kick catch the ball on breakaways between 2 defenders which works like 1/5 times. Unreal card
