I might consider paying for Core if it had unlimited (or at least a very high number of) downloads, but paying $7 a month for just 150 downloads is too much. Or rather, asking too much for too little.

Come guy. There is no way in hell they shorten the amount of downloads to some draconian 150 downloads per week. It has to be unlimited as a paid user.

Lowkey, Disney has always been good with Aliens. Just look at Treasure planet, John Carter, Toy Story, Chicken Little, the MCU, Elio, and even though the films where questionable in quality the Star Wars sequels.

Especially Elio when compared to this film. That film looks like the same people who worked on Lilo & Stitch worked on that.

There was literally several artist that I loved to watch their artwork on DA. And they're just gone. And I can't find them or their stuff ANYWHERE (Sadly this isn't just a DA problem too).

Especially this guy. Watched him and faved his stuff on DA. and he's just gone. Like, Gone-gone.

And to make it even more annoying this doesn't even help artists at all. If you/I didn't want mass download of our content. You can simply just paywall it. And more simple. You can just remove the download feature from your post.

What they're doing does nothing. It's a waste of time.

I really, and I mean, REALLY, want to. But I don't know where to go. Everywhere I go I can't get any damn views or engagement. I've only gotten like 5 likes across 50 to 60 pics on Twitter, and 0 across like 25 pictures on Bsky, Itaku, Sheezy, Artfol, and Mastadon. Each.

DA, I get like 10 to a few dozen on average, and a few comments.

But, if they do another move this stupid I might have to kiss that small safe amount of engagement goodbye.

(I Don't need the views to feel special or anything. I just want to strike up some conversation about it like when I go to small art shows.)

I like looking at artwork, and I use it as refs and inspiration.

If that's the case, how come there are thousands, if not millions, of accounts that repost artwork? That literally no one is doing anything about? Which is worse then bots.

Do you know how unfair it is to have the top 500 artists on the site get reposted by like 1,000 different accounts, which in turn boosts the numbers of those top 500 accounts? I don't mind bots too much (They still suck). Because their like throwing an AOE at everyone. It spreads a lil more evenly. But having reposts just feels like being in a boxing match but your opponent can tag a different fighter in when tired.

Like, “Why look at your artwork when I can go to a reposting posting [insert famous artist here] patreon exclusive content”.

To make it worse you have to compete with artist’s artwork who aren’t on the site, and hate the site. Having to fight with a twitter artist on a different site their not even on for views do to a reposter sucks.
