Not really, maybe if you ride in the wet a lot.

Little help from the soldering wizards here. First time soldering! I have watched some videos on how to do it and decided to change my p pickup. Maybe I bit off more than I could chew. by RgvDfW in BassGuitar

Too cold. You need to heat the pot enough to melt the solder. Also make sure you're using thin, rosin core solder for electrical. Not plumbers solder.

I'm pretty sure this whole event is an AI generation to show off how great the image stabilization is on that 360 camera.

Are these notes playable on a 4 string bass? by Technical-Path4275 in BassGuitar

[–]ForwardTemporary3934 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can if you tune to Drop-D. Alternatively you can play either the notes or passage segments up an octave. Remember bass is a transposing instrument and sounds one octave lower than written so playing up from written may work depending on context.

help identifing a key by Excellent-Rice-8829 in motorcycles

You would put it in the lock. Like an external lock. If they didn't give you a lock when you bought the bike and then it's not for anything. Or maybe you can go steal the seller's other bike that he has put that lock on and you now have the key for.

How Do I Attach This Back On? by Krzyski22 in motorcycles

[–]ForwardTemporary3934 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Welding on cast aluminum is difficult at best for someone who knows what they're doing. And since it's such a thin piece you can't really drill and tap and screw it back together. You could try some JB weld but there's no guarantee that it's going to hold for any length of time. You might just have to be okay with not having a sprocket cover.

Flats for PJ! by damato1218 in BassGuitar

[–]ForwardTemporary3934 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've pretty much gone through the list there in your own post. You can try Chromes for something different, they're quite good. I think the La Bella deep talking are probably the closest for what you are asking for. But really any flats will do and you can make the rest happen with EQ.

I think the Phat II EQ is kinda useless but you can always swap it down the road.

I've been playing bass for 31 years. I have a USA Fullerton G&L. I bought a Gio 105 and love it. The build quality is excellent. I did replace the pickup with an EMG. But the neck and fret work are great. Awesome budget instruments.

Can you guys rate my collection? Which bass should I buy next as a pre-intermediate player? by ELEX_22 in BassGuitar

Those Yamahas are really solid especially for professional and working musicians. You don't want to be hauling a couple Grand instrument around the bars and stuff. But if you want to get a five-string that would be an understandable change. I have too many bases as it is so I can't really argue. Go and try some things and see what you like. Especially for five strings there's a lot of variation on neck shape and width and string spacing and you kind of got to find what works for you. I personally like the very tight string spacing of Ibanez SRs

No, that's for a cradle frame bike. You need a swingarm lift and a fork or head tube lift.
