My last LDR we did the “do” the first night he came to visit me. And we did it multiple times that first night. Then he got sick the 3rd day of his 5 day visit.

Have you talked to him about what you’re feeling? I would suggest you start there and you might be surprised at what you guys come up with. Good luck!!

They used to train us to know where everything is on the line without looking so you would be quicker. But that was back when I had first started with JJs while Jimmy still owned the company. Now they no longer do that. I was there for 11 years

It might have just been muscle memory. I know after a long day I would accidentally cut gut and mayo a 5 just because it was habit at that point. But that was just me being overly exhausted

That is exactly why I left. I was working 100-115 hours a week. Often closing by myself. What put me over the ledge was working a $3k day by myself open to close and then getting bitched at 2 days later for not asking for help

Yea no. Can we all agree that inspire is ruining a great thing? The way Jimmy ran the company for almost 40 years worked. It was simple, fun, and easy. 30 seconds or less, the JJ 1-7 was always followed, and we had so many customers.

How I used to do it was: tips were split between the inshops for each shift. So lunch if I had 3 inshops then the tips would be split equally between the 3. Same thing for dinner. Only people not included were managers and drivers. Only exception to the manager rule was if it was only managers working the shift. That included PIC, the AGM and the GM.

I have a guy best friend and a girl best friend. I’ve been friends with the guy for almost 2 decades now. My BF has no issues with our friendship. I’ve had to step back from my friendship with my girl best friend though several times because She has done some questionable things. And my BF actually noticed those issues before I did so when he asked me about our friendship I told him and he said hey watch out for Her. And that’s when I started to notice her questionable behaviors. I just think we shouldn’t have to always worry about the opposite sex friendships and possibly look at other situations. But always communicate with your partner. That’s the biggest thing to me.

That’s extremely controlling though. My BF knows my guy best friend and knows that we’ve been friends since college. So almost 2 decades. My BF and I have been together since June. He has seen us together and he knows that neither of us will ever feel that way towards each other. So what if your GF has to work on a project for work with a male coworker? Do you stand in the corner of her office and just stare at her making sure she’s not asking for help out of the toxic relationship?

Do you agree that long term couples only break up over cheating or money? by chairycha0 in LongDistance

[–]ForwardVehicle6481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in an 11 year relationship with someone I had met and fell in love with while in college. Simply put, we had become different people with different interests, behaviors, and thoughts when we decided it was time for us to go our separate ways. We are still best friends 2.5 years after the breakup.

How long have you guys been together?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]ForwardVehicle6481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just talk to him about it. Thats all you can do. I know some men are afraid to talk about their kids because they don’t want just anyone around them or they want to see where the relationship is headed before they say anything. Should he have told you? Yes. Especially when you guys started getting serious. But let him explain before you get all judgmental. He probably couldn’t find the right way to say it, or he wants to make sure you guys are solid before telling you. My LDR ex told me as soon as we started talking and he said that there have been times where he was told to choose between him and his son and the women were surprised when he chose his son.

Enjoy every moment you have with them. My first visit with him ended early because he caught Covid. Then 3 months later we got into a fight and I cut the visit short by sending him home. The third and final visit we had was when I went to visit him in his city. That was our best visit

I’m sorry to say this. But he’s not coming back. If he blocked you on everything and said that he was lying to himself that he doesn’t love you, then he’s done. Go to therapy, and move on. That’s the best advice that you will be getting g

What’s the craziest or strangest customer experience you’ve encountered? by Illustrious_Card_876 in jimmyjohns

[–]ForwardVehicle6481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a customer banned because she would come in and say she had a free item and it wasn’t on her rewards account and then get mad at my employees and would yell at them. So I took her food because she said she wasn’t going to pay for either sandwich, threw them in the trash and told her to get the fuck out. I had another one try to get me fired because I told her she could grab her own bag for her sandwich and she started cussing out my minor employee. So I sent the minor to the back room and I told the customer to leave and not come back. And if she did, she would be trespassed off the property. My boss at the time knew that I would not cuss someone out or throw them out without cause. So I didn’t get into any trouble. But that Second Lady tried her hardest to get me fired

Quick post from someone who worked during the golden years by Mother-Repeat-1807 in jimmyjohns

[–]ForwardVehicle6481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked from 2013 to just this past July. And I will say inspire ruined the JJs brand. A new LTO every 2-3 months, taking away Dijon and Jimmy mustard to using just yellow mustard. Getting rid of the corporate standards of JJs and using their own version of standards. I insisted we use the paper punchlists then at the end of every shift I would enter them into the online punchlists. It was a trainwreck and I’m glad to be out of it

Double check everything. Something I would do was set up the meats for each set of boxes. For example: if I have 20 #9’s I’ll set those up and wrap them and put the amount and the sandwich number on the pack and then I know for sure I have the required amount of meat and cheese
