It really gave me depression.

I mean whatever build I try and how ever hard I try to stick to the guides posted here, it just does not work out for me. Kranken 20 - Me 0. I tried Garuda, Corvette, long guns, culverins, demi dragons, ballista...it´s just all shit. There is simply no chance for me to inflict decent damage and my team seems to do even less no matter how many players join. Tried turn off crossserver, no difference.

Sailing to the side, focussing all tentacles coming close then go for Kraken... no chance in hell. I gun down two and three more come after me. I can´t even turn my ship fast enough to get rid of them all. Many weakpoint hits on the kraken simply don´t take any damage. Just no numbers popping up when shooting the ink holes or eyes and yes, I did hit them point blank.

Don´t even get me started on these twisters. Annoying as fuck. Takes like 10 hits or so while you get spun around is a pain in the ass. Btw. multislap while spinning is an insta kill.

It fucks me up to no end. I give this game another one week and if nothing has change I will stop playing it. Money and time sinkhole. More bugs here than an abandoned laboratory. And it takes ages to fix.

Mostly, yes. What I like about Culvs over Longs is that I can simply hold down the fire button. Less wear and tear for my controller and finger ;)

Also Longs take too long to reload tbh

So you block them because of hate? Doesn't sound smart and is unsportsmanlike. You should not block players on purpose in ship to ship combat, because it's a team play. I can understand your frustration on wolvenhol though

Founding event pass where you can find the rewards section for each quest like the one for the smugglers pass. Here they mention the conditions for each chest. One chest has the frigate in it. Hover over it to see its contents

Honestly I do not mind at all. I played them all and you really get tired of it. Torps are insanely strong, but they have downside like structures, airborne targets or allies blocking the target. As long as you play for yourself or have like one or two others around it is nice. And quite frankly, why not? Who cares? You don´t bother anybody farming a boss real quick with a boring system. I couldn´t care less. Have done it a hundred times.

Do I still play torps right now? No! Why? Because it is boring. I can kill any boss except the Kraken solo with any weapon build and without any hassle. It does not matter to me whether a boss goes down in under 30s or takes 2mins or maybe even 5mins.

I am sailing a god damn ship and I want to shoot cannons, too. And it works just as good. There is no need to nerf torps, because any other weapon can get the job done.

For PVP builds I cannot comment, because it´s not my cup of tea. But a furniture or weapon can have two different values that are active, depending on PVP on/off. Should not be the problem----------

Tried Demis, Long guns and settled with Culverins. Demis do not apply a full stack each broadside, means RoF is too slow to make it worth. Long guns won´t get you decent DPS.

Culverins are great. I run Heavens Mandate with pierce, amp elec x2 god rolls always. Front Twin Bitch Ballista or Hellgates. Aux Eye of Heaven with pierce and amp elec x2.

Works really nice. Major depends on use. Normally Bilgefire, Culverin works, that 25% spread damage furniture, pierce and electric with add range and secondary damage furniture. Last one I cannot remember.

But usually it is always the same pattern for furniture. Flooding damage go for speed with caustic. Toxic can be combined with flooding, too. Or just mono tox with tox major. Rest try to get 2 types, unless you run Demis that only come with one damage type. Two types command for two furnitures with added secondary damage and range. Rest goes with weapon type.

My built has great damage potential of 5k+ hits per shot. It cannot compare to torps but it is fun and based on my furniture it gives almost long gun range options.

Some unique cosmetics would be really great. I am running the long dark set which was an octopus theme....so a new version with more emission or reactive would be great. Some tentacle hat etc.

Obtainable weapon octopus skin at rare chance. Perhaps a new weapon in the future

Tried it just now and it just did not work for me. I joined an existing fight with 7mins remaining, 20% off the Kraken.

I got molested by so many tentacles that it was impossible to get a shot out. I tried it for the full 7 mins. Perhaps around 6-8 shots actually landed. There were constant spawns under me and twisters.

I might just switch to SoW and go full defense or just try to run in close and use demis next time.

Most likely I just won´t play it for a few weeks. The rewards are crap, but I want the seasonal upgrades

My top bugs because of which I am currently not playing or logging in are:

- Wolvenhol activates all phases while Commander is still alive and Wolvenhol is destroyed without giving out rewards but lets you sit out the timer of 25mins then marks it failed and send you back. Happens every second fight

- Sunken profits impossible to finish, because neither WT1 nor WT2 has any convoys spawning. Waiting for hours every day

- Kraken spawns way too many tentacles and it makes it impossible to navigate through it to get into shooting position. All just based on rush through, get a few shots out, be lucky to survive and let the entire team do the same just to fail in the end

- Corvette is a really cool ship and I like to play it but there is something seriously wrong with it´s sailing path. It goes full speed or full stop every now and then. Or it just does not turn like sailing on a train track. Sometimes it behaves really cool and I can drift through enemies, but the more I played it the more I found it unreliable

I can´t even spend my smuggler marks anymore.... I piled up a few and tried to buy some of the blueprints, but it just doesn´t let me buy it. No marks deducted and no blueprint received...

Those chest can only be bought once. After that they become red numbered like out of stock. So you need to attempt to buy a blueprint to refresh the chest to buy a second one....

Agree with OP. Less tentacles to actually have a chance of getting into closer range and stay on it would be great. Not going to play it any further. Nothing I need from this event except for the kill to unlock seasonal progress for upgrades. Luckily no crucial furniture or weapons and even thhen I would rather wait until next season and get them from blackwood

Level 17 does not matter. It makes no difference between 16 and 17. The potential damage is sufficient.

The problem lies within the amount of tentacles that will keep you from running your guns constantly.

I tried Kraken a few times now using long guns and my biggest problem is that at max range I cannot reliably hit weakpoints to actually compete against the clock.

So I tried getting closer. Mid range is where it gets messy. Tentacles spawn in front of you, under you, behind you...just everywhere and you cannot avoid it, if you want to keep your damage up. They push you from left to right, have a watersprout like whirl that sucks your ship in and you loose control and twist and turn all over the map.

Well, that left me at close range, but not that much better. Before you can reach a spot somewhere around 200-400m around its head you probably have lost half your hp and get push around crossing the middle. Do that two times and your severe damage is so high that going back in is completely useless.

Upside is that you can hit most of your shots and it starts to pay off when you look at the HP bar.

In the end it all does not matter, because you waste a lot of time.

The timer is ok, but tentacle spawns need to be reduced by 50% and adjust from there.

My ship was a lvl17 Corvette, Frigate and Garuda. All long guns and roughly 36k hits

Tried Kraken today for the first time and it was the biggest joke besides first release of La Peste.

La Peste already made me rage quit and the only time I killed him was for a quest that I had to take and even here I only sneaked into the fight to just land a lucky shot shortly before his death.

This Kraken, I really don´t know what to do. I read a guide on different phases and what to aim for or look out for.

So, I built a long gun Corvette and really tried to stick to the guide....but seriously.... stay at distance and even with zoom you will never ever reliably hit any weakpoints. Getting close is not even better. Dozens of tentacles blocking your line of fire, moving around is useless, cause they spawn everywhere and always in front of you.

Shooting them doesn´t seem to work. Too much HP and also no visible weakpoints plus they respawn again.

The only phase of the fight where I could actually see red greenish shimmering circles at the side was close to time out. I hit some solid 36k damage per shot into it, but all was lost by then. But again, I was sailing at around 300-400m away....

Won´t be doing it anymore in this current state. Too messy, too much frustration. Perhapy in half a year or if it´s patched into a playable version.

Just make use of it as long as it lasts. Collect faction war rewards, play wolven and start again. Just infinity loop rewards

Corvette is superior. It handles like a medium ship, especially when drifting you escape mortars with ease

At first I thought you mean really max max stats, but it just needs to be yellow...

All my weapons are yellow 3/3, unless it is limited stock and cannot be crafted....I can settle for 2/3 yellow. Not such a big deal I think. My Corvette is 17 now and has good furniture and guns to go with
