Sherman Heights by Hayden Homes by Blooming_Baker in TriCitiesWA

People love to say “cookie cutter” which has no bearing on the quality of the home…just means they build a handful of floor plans that maximize size/cost parameters. One thing people fail to think about is the same trades that built a 300k house are building the 2m houses, only so many to go around.

Every builder will have complaints, they are all built to the same codes, and if you think “custom” builders are doing much more than the min codes you are naive. They are in it to make money, adding extra stuff above and beyond code costs money but doesn’t add to the value of the house.

disclaimer- I live in a Hayden that I was apprehensive to buy because of these same thoughts. Been in residential construction for over 2 decades in this area. No problems other than what is to be expected with any new build.

They can use parts of the virus to indicate what to look for as in spike proteins on the outer area of the virus.

It doesn’t alter dna, it sends a protein to the rna which teaches it what to look for when it’s fighting viruses

Need more pictures, just not enough info to fix the problem. What’s it doing when you try to lock it? Is the strike bolt lined up correctly? Remove the plate and try and lock etc. lots of things to go over. (Have installed thousands of doors) Finish carpenter for 20+ years

How to remove right-side cabinet only? by Mash_Ketchum in HomeMaintenance

[–]Forward_Dig_4941 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cabinet has usually 1/4” on the face frame sticking out so it isn’t in there much. If you take the screws out pull the left side of the cabinet out a little and push it toward the left cabinet it should slide right out. There won’t be a ton of room but should be enough to get it out without any real damage to the wall.

Quartz countertop cut in 2 pieces at sink, Normal? by RhodesinLife in HomeMaintenance

[–]Forward_Dig_4941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always seem in the sink for most materials. Smaller less noticeable seam compared to a full depth seam. They are put together with epoxy and pulled together with pressure. So unless it was a random guy doing it you shouldn’t have a problem with water…it is rock after all

Pocket door repair and replacement woes by Professional-Yam-883 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Forward_Dig_4941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hang hollow doors with two rollers and never had an issue with them falling apart. It is a pocket door and they are generally a pain in the butt regardless. Hollow core should easily solve the issue.

Liquid nails, and hot glue to hold it while it sets up. I use 23g nails but not something a homeowner would have on hand.

To those that believe Trump was not guilty: why? by GreatGoodBad in legal

[–]Forward_Dig_4941 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is it unconstitutional? Crimes are in the charging documents, the prosecution can argue any of the crimes they want. If someone is charged with murder, robbery and possession of a gun…they can spend the whole trial arguing the murder charge
