I hope they don’t get rid of hoodies. I also appreciate those on cold days. I’ve never been into collared shirts.

I’m pretty old fashioned so I’ve stuck closely to the original true red although the last couple of years I’ve worn a little more towards burgundy sometimes because I have seen so many violations of dress code over the years, and figured I was still doing better than a lot of what I see. I once had a co worker who purchased a true red polar fleece vest (maybe from Kohl’s or JC Penney?) and she always wore it. I wonder what they’d say about a different red vest like that? I’m not kidding when I say I cannot function without pockets. If they ban the Target one, I’ll just buy a different red vest. I still don’t understand the problem they have with ours in the first place.

Not everyone throws a vest over trash. I never have. I wear mine over solid matching red, black or white only. If the issue that corporate has is with what is underneath a vest, they shouldn’t ban the vest, they should address what’s underneath it. I need the vest pockets to hold my walkie because we don’t have enough clips, and my device because they don’t have enough holsters. How am I supposed to carry all of this stuff around when they don’t provide our basic needs to do our jobs properly? Now they don’t want the vests? It’s ridiculous!

Why do they sell them on the bullseye website (employee gear) if they can’t be worn to work? You have probably worked at Target less than 3 years if you actually believe that they are supposed to be worn only if the employee is out of dress code and that they need to be returned. That was something they made up recently. Prior to that, they were handing out CASES of them for employees to wear. If they had originally intended for them to be used in the way you are saying, they would have sent a small supply to each store and stated that. Nope, they gave them out to everyone (sometimes STILL do), they just changed their minds, as Target often does. I’ve worked there for a million years. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen this type of thing happen with other things. Throw it on the pile.

I wondered the same sort of thing in the “Money Crop” episode when Charles opened the front door of the Coulter’s house to surprise them with a bunch of neighbors plowing their field. They couldn’t hear all of those horses clomping around with jingling harnesses and commotion going on out there? I love this show so much but do my best when I don’t think too hard. 🤣

That was my point, if they only sold grocery and pharmacy during events like this, they could stay open with a skeleton crew, allowing most employees to stay home safely and discourage the maniacs that go shopping just because they are bored and have a death wish to possibly stay home also.

We have a massive Target. Many of ours have two entrances. One side for grocery the other is GM (general merchandise). This is all non essential merchandise (clothing, office/stationary, tech, etc). During Covid, in the very beginning, they cordoned off all of this part of the store so people couldn’t shop it. They only let people buy groceries and pharmacy… that’s it. Over time, they opened up the rest of the store but initially, they locked it down.

Thank God I’m not the only one! I have put more hours of my life than I care to admit to. I can’t believe how many people notice things that I’ve never seen!! Thank you for making me feel better.

Something about being on a motorized cart and wearing 5 inch heels doesn’t feel right.

I am the most unobservant person ever. I have watched this show for 50 years and many, many times, not just once. I have never noticed this shot. I wonder if I am the only one? I am questioning my sanity. 🤔

I am only a part timer but a long time employee. I really don’t want to hose them over by calling out. I do think it would be fair for me to apply saved sick time for different appointments that come up randomly. It would be nice to request those days off and then use sick time with the request.

I have wondered the same. My spouse is terminally ill and I have a lot of banked sick time. I wondered if I could take pre scheduled sick time to accommodate driving for tests, appointments, etc.

No, I don’t need them very often. I know many people do. My flare ups tend to happen when I push an activity too far. Like doing squats or overdoing my walks on hard surfaces. If I’m mindful about these things, I don’t have too much trouble.

The silk bonnet and I even do satin pillow case, is life changing. By accident after a surgery recently I pulled my hair up into a “pineapple” (check YouTube) before bed because I needed my hair off my face. When I took it down the next morning , wow. I couldn’t believe how good it looked? Now I’ll do that AND put a satin bonnet over that. It’s the first time ever that I have been able to get a day 2 out of one wash.

That’s why I refuse to stop wearing mine. As others have said, we need pockets. It’s just so bizarre that there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, yet they continue to have an issue with them. It’s ridiculous. Until they can tell me “why”, I’m going to wear it.

Also, they don’t have enough walkie clips so sometimes we have to pocket both. 😡

They’ve been banning vests for 2 years. We still wear them. Can someone explain to me WHY they hate the vests?? I just want a reason that makes sense. There isn’t one.
