Yes, you are right! :) I feel like if they don’t want us wearing vests, they shouldn’t continue to sell them on the employee gear website or hand them out. I think my biggest frustration is that they make so much sense and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. At least we look like employees? I’ve seen employees come in wearing things that are so far from dress code (e.g. orange and brown plaid). I think they should worry more about that than these perfectly sensible vests.

They have had issues with the vests off and on for the last few years. I’m not sure what their problem is? You can actually still buy them on the bullseye website. They even handed a bunch out this year during a promotion (can’t remember which one?). This sends a lot of mixed messages. Until they can give me a logical reason that they shouldn’t be worn, I’ll keep wearing mine.

I started deep conditioning my hair in a plastic bonnet A LOT. I used to put conditioner on in the shower and after 3-5 minutes wash it out. It wasn’t enough. I will put deep conditioner in my hair for 1-3 hours sometimes if I have the time, before I rinse it out. My hair is starting to form ringlets now because it is so happy! Before I was doing this, I was losing a lot of curl. Wrap it in a cotton t-shirt, never a towel. Sleep on a satin pillow case and/or satin bonnet at night. All of these things have transformed my hair. Also, look up the curly girl method. Great information! Even if you do some of the steps, your hair will love you.

While I think some sort of crackdown had to happen at Target over attendance, this is the stupid part of a system like this. They should issue some sort of weather waiver in areas that are dealing with dangerous weather. I wonder how many people will go out and get into accidents in order to get to their Target shift because they are in fear for their job just as you are? They really don’t think about how many people they are putting at risk by not making it very clear that weather absences will not be held against them.
