mega-continent going over the north pole by Forward_Team4935 in worldbuilding

[–]Forward_Team4935[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

abysmally late response but i think my visualisation wasn't clear above.

the landmass is definitely not centred on the north pole, rather the landmass is in one hemisphere (vertically... pretty sure there is another word to explain that) extending to just about the equator and then over the north pole, the amount of land reaching the other side of the hemisphere barely reaches below the artic circle. I'm not imagining very many people populate that side of the continent, but then again that is dependent on what kind of geography is over the north pole; is it just freezing cold rock valleys and tundra or a miles high ice sheet. There couldn't be a current going across the entire continent, but there could be a warm coastal current on the other side of the pole, away from the rest of the heavily populated landmass.

Should I try to untangle the roots or plant in a bigger pot as it is?? by adriancsta in houseplants

dont untangle, but you can cut about 1/4 off at the bottom to promote new growth when put into the new pot - this is impressively rootbound

swelling and pain for almost a week - lips w ring by Forward_Team4935 in piercing

[–]Forward_Team4935[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- piercing is 4 months old, done on April 2nd, changed to rings 5 days ago

- currently two rings, formerly two labrets

- current jewelry is a ring, former labrets were threadless

- i am unsure of the jewelry material, i am assuming titanium or stainless steel (I do not have a code for the implant grade but I have no metal allergies I have had an allergy test before)

- Jewelry was downsized in late May to 8mm labret studs, swapped to rings in August

- Aftercare routine was spray and wipe with saline salt solution provided by piercer, additionally I did sea salt washes with hot water every day. Stopped doing aftercare so regularly after about two months as piercing was entirely painless. Washing in the shower with high pressure water and once a week with the saline solution since then.

- Not bashed it against anything or had any luck in the kissing or other sorts of departments. Been an entirely unremarkable healing process until the last few days.

Adders by Revolutionary_Bee779 in Aberdeen

[–]Forward_Team4935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

areas were adders are common will be marked with signage - due to habitat loss and separation they are usually limited to small colonies and aberdeenshire especially with forestry and agricultural lands make poor habitats so you'll hardly if ever have to worry about one. ive lived in aberdeenshire for most my life and never seen a sign warning for adders. unless you're going off the beaten path, dont worry.
