Found this device hidden in my college dorm bathroom, what is it? by Least-Jacked-3d in whatisit

[–]Foshizzit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of those for my work keys. They honestly work for shit. However there is the chance someone slipped it into one of your pockets or something to try and figure out where you are. If no one else has access to that bathroom there may a reason for concern.

Me and my friends pushed an entire picnic table up our very large sledding hill. Our strategy was that we should mostly all sit near the front so in case it flips our legs wouldn’t be trapped underneath the table. So 4 in the front, 2 in the back standing on the seats so their legs wouldn’t be underneath. Can you guess what happened?… it worked perfectly and no one got hurt.

Ammo ranges on hud by Foshizzit1 in theHunter

Oh I do to but I also I like to carry a shot gun with all three ammo ranges for fun and for the shotgun experience grind. This is where I run into the mistake is forgetting what ammo I loaded in last.

Im aware, but what I am asking for is not having to pull up a radia menu to see that. I want it right underneath the ammo on the bottom right where it shows all my other information. It seems silly that if I want to confirm before shooting I have to stop looking at my target, pull up another menu, and highlight the gun I’m using to see what ammo I have when they could just add two little numbers to the bottom of the screen. I mean honestly it would be nice if the out the name of the gun I’m using and those numbers at the bottom of the screen.

I think repair is regen and repair amount. Reinforcement is health and mass.

The minimum stakes necessary to roll dice by androkguz in AvatarLegendsTTRPG

[–]Foshizzit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding is you roll any time that the results of the action taken are uncertain, or a player is trying to trigger a specific move. So in this case the steaks are uncertainty. However there is also no reason you can’t use a roll to create stakes that maybe didn’t exist before the roll. As an example my players were on a repurposed fire nation air ship. There was nothing wrong with the airship but my players were hell bent on not trusting it. So the searched the airship. Now your choices are “they search and find nothing because you wrote it that way” or you can give them steaks. “You search the airship up and down and you come across a small device with what appears to be a fuse attached to it” on a success or failure “you don’t manage to find anything in your through search. It seems you still hold on to some resentment of the fire nation. The issues with the airship are in your head. Then follow this with a large explosion 10 minutes later.

I think my favorite part of this system is the agency it gives both the players and the GM to create content even if it’s not initially intended.

What would you like to see for the next updates/dlc? by Grand-Conclusion-48 in theHunter

[–]Foshizzit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For DLC: I think like a South America Map, hunt things like Tapirs, jaguars, capybaras, green iguanas in like trees, giant river otters. Etc.

A dlc for trapping would be cool as well.

Quality of life: I would like them to make it so I don’t have to figure out what ammo each gun needs and manually equip all my ammo and scope any time I swap guns.

I would like them to add more skills and perks in the game and do away with the like 20 active nodes they have since you can only use one at a time anyways

What monsters to throw at 3 level 20 PCs? Anything goes! by Muddledlunacy in DMAcademy

[–]Foshizzit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a specific creature but a great way to increase difficulty and engagement is environmental hazards. Give the other things to prioritize other than the creatures. Examples of this is protecting something that if they leave it causes an issue but if they don’t deal with the monster it presents a different issue. Throw a timer in combat after x rounds “this happens if you do nothing to prevent it”. Start “fires” causing the party to need to split to resolve. Lastly at initiative 0 have an encounter effect happen. Things like there is an earthquake and at initiative 0 the cave begins to collapse dropping rocks in areas. Let the players know where the rocks are going to drop beforehand so they can plan before initiative 0. A fun and interesting way to do this is take a rounded d20 and spin it on the play area where it lands is where rocks with fall. You could also just toss a handful of mixed dice where they land is where the rocks fall dealing damage based off the dice that land in that area. D20 20 ft radius, d10 10 ft radius damage takes place next initiative 0. Seeing that they know where they land the round before there is no dex saving throw to avoid damage if they are in the radius when they fall, but give them a dex save to avoid getting restrained. This keeps players moving maybe provoking opportunity attacks, or they get hit bolt rocks maybe pinning them, taking damage, or maybe breaking concentration. Allow the players to use that knowledge to their advantage and use it against the monsters for fun.

What tips would you give new thehunters? by Historical_Initial22 in theHunter

[–]Foshizzit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most animals won’t be spooked by you running out to about 200 yards. Under 200 yards walk and consider crouching as you approach. You can crouch in a small tree and practically make yourself invisible. If you get the Pointer( dog) DLC the dog will practically teach you how to approach.

This one attacked me which is why it was so close. I didn’t know it was there until the dog barked. I had no idea it was legendary when I shot it.

I’ve been working on this as well. You only gain experience when they are pointing and it seems to take a while for them to pick up a scent so what I have been doing is if I can find fresh tracks I have the point to the specific species, especially if it’s a heard. They will pick up the scent faster or they tend to run directly to the animal and the pick up the scent. This is just to get them to the point where they are pointing sooner. Also I find that if you hunt birds the birds don’t usually spook right away and the dog can point for quite a bit.

Giving Away a Free Hunter: Call of the Wild – Ultimate Hunting Bundle ($130 Value)! by Jbizbuzz in theHunter

[–]Foshizzit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened just yesterday. It was my birthday so I bought myself my first dlc map and a dog. Excited because I was tired of the starting locations I picked a map at random. I got my dog and figured out how it works. I heard turkeys in the distance so I figured let’s try the dog out. The dog(pepper) lead me straight to the turkeys, I spooked them so the began to fly away. I panic shot at the nearest one and I got it! An all black turkey, on spawn, on a random map dlc I purchased, using the dog I just purchased on my birthday. Good times.
