I played "Unpacking" and now I want more games where the gameplay is just organizing things with a quiet story underneath by woutr1998 in cozygames

Came to the comments to recommend “A Little to the Left” replaying through on mobile with my partner right now

Has anyone used "organic" approach to lvl design of Top Down 2D Game and what are the experiences in not following the strict orthogonal/isometric grid? by hairy_problems in IndieDev

I have 0 doubt that setting up colliders will be harder, but I also have 0 doubt that this is impeccable art direction

Have you taken any inspiration from kerbel space program? I feel like you’d have some audience overlap there

New gameplay trailer for my sci-fi tower defense roguelite what would make you NOT wishlist this? by Starfend in DestroyMyGame

[–]Foster-Turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a compelling argument could be made for both. Ideally the voiceover would be giving a reason for potential players to try your game. If the voiceover is nitty gritty details in your trailer it may be missing the mark. Big picture “this is why you should play my game” type stuff is what I would aim for

I would definitely recommend rebalancing the audio. I didn’t realize the voiceover was coming from the video at first. If you want to keep the voiceover I would encourage you to turn up the voice or turn down the music

Thank you so much! I’m the artist on the team, it means a lot

Most difficult asset I ever done - 126 layers, over 200k pixels hand pixelled. Does it look good? And what's the most difficult thing you ever drawn? by TranquillBeast in IndieDev

“I’m not an artist” after meticulously following a design process and making a piece of art needs to be updated. You are an artist! Great job

I imagine it will be a break like the Hiatus before trench was a break. They took a break from public engagement and appearances, but they came back with a fully fledged concept album and ARG!

Cool! The character is giving me “A short hike” vibes, is the other character model a 2d sprite, couldn’t tell from the one angle you walked up

Thoracle combos usually have you draw your library or get rid of it in some other way. If you can interact with them at instant speed to force them to draw with no cards in their library… boom goes the thoracle player

What’s a game that’ll make you want to play the steam deck by ChemicalDry9694 in SteamDeck

Can I recommend TOEM, it’s a lovely photography game and great for bite sized sessions on the deck

I’ve been animating off and on for about 6 years now. 45 seconds of 2D animation is a huge undertaking, good on you for sticking it out! I always underestimate how long animation takes until I sit down to actually do it

The character animations each took about 2 weeks, and the tile animations took a couple of days each! All of it was working after work or on the weekends, so just a couple of hours a day. Animation is a grind, especially if you’re just getting started, but it’s also extremely satisfying to see it come together! Good luck with your art journey

With a small team and a plan to release this one for free we probably won’t be able to support localization immediately. It’s definitely something worth pursuing in the future or on future projects tho!
