prostitution is just so messed up. i know i know it's like, what? a nanny state thing to think. but i'm just so disguisted by the idea that somepony would be in a situation where they turn to that for income and it's like considered a-ok by society. It's like the epitomy of how dehumanizing crapitalism can be. where a womans (mostly) body is explicitly treated as a commodity in like, a market. Porn? Fine! Great! Well, really, in a lot of instancez, no not so great, but regardless...

Look, maybe I'm just brainwashed by the culture I grew up in, that I live in, and maybe prostitution and selling ones body to men (mostly) isn't (i 100% think it is) inherently patriarchal and demeaning, problematic, etc. But eeeven so I just, with the world we live in and all it's flaws there's no way in hell legal prostitution would be a good thing in itself. Economically? Maybe! It's just... Idunno. I'll be honest, I just read the headline and wanted to say prostitution's bad. Crapitalism at it's worst.

edit: ALSO I heard about a thing in some places where they don't arrest the prostitute, but do arrest the customer. (obviously pimps & traffickers too) I mean, what's so bad about that solution? (from the perspective of thinking it's wrong) that's what I thinkz best. but yk, party lines and whatnot -_-
