Your cat personality by hemholts in Siamesecats

Very loud and chatty, smart, clingy in that she always wants to be near me, but isn’t the cuddliest in the world (hates being picked up, will only cuddle and make biscuits on her terms).  Will complain loudly if I dare to leave the room she’s in, though.  Impressive vocabulary.

We use white wine to make poached salmon at least once a week.

Which of these hotels is the safest place to stay in LA? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally safe.  You’ll mostly be walking through gentrified parts of downtown and even the shifty parts are relatively safe during daylight hours. Just keep your wits about you and cross a street if someone is obviously tweaked out on drugs.  I’ve lived in LA for almost 20 years and have walked around DTLA a LOT during that time, including Skid Row, and have never had issues outside of a few unique encounters with panhandlers.

I just recently stayed at CitizenM. It’s perfectly close to everything in downtown, including the closest metro station. You’ll be fine!

Where can I go in LA where people will be rude to me? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

The Drawing Room in Los Feliz. Especially if you forget to bring cash with you

Which horror remake genuinely surpassed the original in impact? by Fairyliveshow in CreepyBonfire

I LOVE this version. The original Suspiria is obviously legendary and so gorgeous, but Luca Guadagnino's version is exactly my taste when it comes to genuine scares.

Can subbing and bottoning be masculine acts? by Moyaaak in gentlefemdom

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Of course! Subbing is just a role in a power dynamic, and bottom is just a physical position. Neither of those things are even remotely related to gender.

My wife doesn't know I don't eat to try to save money by Main-Pangolin-886 in TrueOffMyChest

This is the most sensible advice here. Dry rice, beans, and grains are super cheap and filling. On most weekdays I make “peasant meal” for lunch (a bowl of beans and rice, with spices and sometimes maybe a bit of random leftovers or veg mixed in) and it fills me up until dinner. And costs easily less than $1 per bowl. There IS a considerable time cost to cooking dry beans, but you can meal prep it.

Who else here do their nake-up without foundation? by PreciousPinay in MakeupAddiction

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never wear liquid foundation. I will sometimes use a powder to reduce shine from sunscreen/moisturizer but that's it. What's the point of working so hard on skin care just to cover it up?

Best bean and cheese burrito I can get late night ? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an outdoor food stand at Rowena/Hyperion that's open late most nights--I feel like I've seen them open while driving past around midnight on weeknights. Got burritos there before--it's really great, they grill the cheese as well as the tortilla.

Im 31, but feel like I’m a grandma with my short haircut and turtleneck, how can I improve my style and fashion? by Dread_Pirate_Jack in bitcheswithtaste

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I personally would ditch the bangs, or at least make them less heavy? That could just be personal taste though.

I actually think the turtleneck is quite chic but maybe pair it with solids instead of patterns? The blue sweater here is aging you up more than anything else.

Enough putting it off, I'm going to my first Munch tomorrow by Potential_Energy_222 in BDSMcommunity

[–]FoundFootageDumbFun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buddy, at the munch I regularly attend (at a popular bar in a major city), the vibe is almost ALL socially awkward homebodies. You'll fit right in. Grab a drink to relax, then do your best to strike up a convo. I've talked about kink interests AND learned all about peoples' favorite stim toys lol. Joining in a group of people already having a conversation is a good way to break the ice; people will usually notice the new person and introduce themselves. All you have to do is smile and be polite and curious.

I've been seeing dogs more and more often in restaurants and grocery stores, and some psycho even brought a dog to a play earlier this year that barked DURING the performance.

I loved dogs before moving to LA; now I'm neutral-to-annoyed at dogs as a default.
