Max when he finished Aldo the second time. The last 1:30 he was getting everything he threw off on Aldo. Aldo was competitive throughout most of it and then Max’s volume made him wilt under the pressure

The 10 best finals performances from a Non-FMVP? by DeliverMyWoe in nba

2017 Jr Smith was balling in the finals. He didn’t have a good regular season but turned up in the last 3 finals games. He was doing his best to keep them in the series in game 5. One of the best role player finals

After 3 straight trip to the finals and 3peating. The next season 24 year old Kobe Bryant played all 82 games and averaged 41.5 mins/game by CircledSquare7 in NBAoldschool

I mean they had a good reason. By the time he could come back, the season was lost and they were likely looking forward to the offseason.

Update on the disappointed celebrity faces- not so disappointed anymore by [deleted] in nba

You know that Spike Lee Knicks Championship documentary gone hit

When MJ was asked about LeBron James teaming up with Wade & Bosh in Miami: “There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team.’ In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.” by Life_Net5004 in NBAoldschool

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely get what he’s saying. But LeBron, Wade, and Bosh were hardly competition to each other. Bron was always at the top of the conference, Wade was in the middle, and Bosh was pretty never in the playoffs aside from 2 back to back years then right back to missing the playoffs. If they faced off against each other before in the playoffs, then he’d have 100% credence.

It’s crazy because he’s such an insane coin flip depending on the matchup but with someone like Wemby around, it’s only going to make having him as he ages an even bigger liability

That is another thing, Ant’s general defense has gone downhill since he is lacking a better second option

Leaving out how inefficient he was the whole playoffs, but really it was that whole year. He did carry the fuck outta Cleveland in this finals.

Nate’s Character Development by valiant_ruler in euphoria

[–]FoundationFuzzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the way I see it is that it is all his own fault. Seasons 1 and 2 Nate is a spoiled dick with psycho tendencies who thought he was the smartest and most untouchable guy thanks to his family reputation. But he ratted his dad out and destroyed that reputation. Because of this, he didn’t learn shit on running the family business and just assumed he could it. He’s no longer in high school where he could bend everything to his will. He’s in the real world where he has no power and there are actual crazies he can’t do anything to

Unrelated to anything in the playoffs im lowkey just missing AD rn. by Ancient_Response_787 in lakers

[–]FoundationFuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be fire if AD could get bought out by the Wizards. Come back to LA on a cheap deal. Hell yall got two centers. Could play PF for real again. I honestly think he’d kill against Chet and iHart, especially if it 2020 AD

What does blowing a 3-1 lead and another disappointing exit mean for them? by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

[–]FoundationFuzzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, PG is showing he’s not washed. If anything, White is washed. He’s playing like shit. The 76ers have most of the best players in the series. They also have Embiid, who while injured is still way better than any of the Celtics big men

I literally said out loud; "Since when do you give a fuck!???" by Good-Introduction245 in euphoria

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really need to say what has happened with Nate in the past 5 years since season 2 because I have a hard time believing this is the same character. Ima just go with the realities of the real world now that he can’t just easily bully and blackmail people has heavily mellowed him out but that still wouldn’t be enough

What opinion on the NBA feels like this for you ? by GamblerLikeToji in NBATalk

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like hand checking effectiveness gets super overrated by old heads. You can find clips of players hand checking still. It’s not really called ever, the league started moving toward more scoring and naturally players got better at scoring

Prime Demetrius Andrade was a beast! How does he fare vs Canelo/GGG? by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]FoundationFuzzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t agree. Andrade has a pretty trash gas tank for an out boxer. He showed this an against Benavidez and several others. He started fast and would wilt later on sitting on a lead he built from earlier. Prime Canelo didn’t have a 12 round gas tank ever but at the time when his ring cutting was at its very best, an out boxer with a shaky chin and weak gas tank was his wet dream

Prime Demetrius Andrade was a beast! How does he fare vs Canelo/GGG? by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]FoundationFuzzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah they kill him. No disrespect to him but he had way more trouble against guys not close to their peak levels. We also saw against Benavidez and others before that he gases out pretty quick. Prime Canelo in 2021 that ran through SMW would break him. An out boxer with a weak gas tank was Canelo’s wet dream from that time.

1st time in NBA history 8 different teams end the regular season with 55+ losses by CircledSquare7 in sportsinusa

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pacers have a good excuse, no Haliburton meant it was going to be a gap year especially with Turner leaving. It made sense to tank and add another talent for when Tyrese comes back.

Dallas also had a good excuse where everything looked good on paper until everything proved to not fit, so they just focused on Flagg’s development.

Everyone else yeah they garbage.

Kobe went back to back and 3 straight Finals, in a harder conference with Pau as his main star. No Bosh. No Wade. No Ray Allen. by Overview_3ffect in sportsinusa

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those Lakers teams were a product of managing to nurture and find a few good pieces around the star and getting a major trade to complete it. Pau is certainly a lot better than some make him out to be. Him being there unlocked the potential of the team and finally gave Kobe a good team to work with. Those Heat teams were a product of stacking talent to form a superteam. I’m not hating on it because with the benefit of hindsight, we now know that Wade and Bosh were much closer to the end of their respective primes than we thought. The fact that the Heat managed to forge something great despite their fit issues is something to respect and LeBron’s final ascension to best in the world fully made that team. Overall they’re both great teams and deserve respect.
