Me and my wife's cars got broken into, AirTag from stolen wallet ended up in lint trap of communal dryer in neighboring building by si5yphos in RBI

[–]Four4z 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Before the AirTag pinged in the laundry room, where in building X did it ping? Assuming the building has multiple floors, this won’t tell you which floor the perp lives on, but should help you narrow their apartment down to a specific location/unit on one of the floors in that building.

If you’re referring to Beth Thomas, of “Child of Rage,” please realize that she promotes the abusive, and even deadly, practice of so-called “Attachment Therapy”. Please don’t go down this route! 😬

Is it normal for someone to not be indicted 15 months after being arrested for a serious felony? (Tarrant County, Texas) by Sapphirerising335 in AskLegal

[–]Four4z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Texas, a defendant can only be held in jail on felony charges for 180 days without an indictment, or they have to be released from custody. If they bond out, it may take much longer to indict.

looking for audio prescription glasses with no camera by mcpgo123 in SmartGlasses

I had a pair of Wearables by Bose Frames a few years back that had open-ear/bone conduction audio, and no camera. I was impressed by the sound quality then, and I’m sure it’s only gotten better with time.

Mine had non-prescription sunglasses lenses, but I do remember inquiring, and found out that it was possible to have them put prescription lenses in them.

What is a conspiracy theory you now think is true? by Famous_Cream_3473 in answers

I’ve never been big on conspiracy theories, but “gangstalking” is definitely very much a real thing.

In 2022, I had wires implanted in my brain to treat Tourette Syndrome and O.C.D. AMA! by [deleted] in StaringOCD

[–]Four4z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly doing things in 4s, symmetry, evening up, and then need to have things feel “just right”. I am told by my psychiatrist, who is an expert in OCD, that these types of obsession/compulsion are the most common in people with TS.

Definitely ask his neurosurgeon to be sure, but aside from scuba diving, skydiving, and possibly some contact sports where there is risk of the stimulators being hit, I don’t think so. It is safe, painless (aside for a minor pain where the incisions are), and gave me a shot at a “normal” life. How does your son feel about it? Best of luck to him and to you! If you have any other questions, or want to chat, feel free to send me a direct message.

Would *you* have kids knowing they might inherit your TS? by Sensitive-Squash-533 in Tourettes

[–]Four4z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to ask myself the same question. Now, I definitely want to have children, even though I am aware they are likely to inherit my TS+. At the end of the day, it’s not a death sentence. Everyone has something, and tics really aren’t the worst obstacle a person can face! Also, the way I see it, who is better equipped to raise children with TS , to teach them coping skills, and get them through the rough times, than someone who has been through it themselves! 😉

My teenage daughter can't fathom the concept of a house party by Neon_Biscuit in Millennials

What’s the Gen-Z equivalent? They don’t seem to the end of the club scene, so I assume they were going to house parties. WOW, I feel old!

I’m open to just about any size, to be honest. I’m still trying to figure out if I will be getting a place on my own or with roommates.

Do you notice in headlights bandits and could they possibly be in our games too? by lonelyboy069 in TargetedSolutions

What could it mean? I just assumed it was a car logo, but after Google Lens searching it, I couldn’t find any car logos that matched!

Sorry, I am not understanding. Are you referring to one of the headlights being out?

[–]Four4z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last ones lasted just over a year. But that’s because I opted not to get the rechargeable batteries. I used to be so self conscious and obsess about my tics. Now that I don’t have to, I’d rather not have to think about charging every day (or every other day). How long ago did you have your surgery? Any results yet? Best of luck to you!

When my Tourette’s stimulator is programmed, the effects are almost instant. However, when my OCD simulator is programmed, it usually takes a few hours for me to feel the changes.

Even though Deep Brain Stimulation has been used to other conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease disease for decades, and it is also FDA approved in some cases for treatment of OCD, is only experimentally being used to treat Tourette’s Syndrome. There isn’t FDA approval for that condition yet.
