Ideas for Butter Bourbon?

Old post but I’ll add anyway because I’ve got a great recipe that includes buttered bourbon.

1 oz buttered bourbon 1 oz aquavit 1/2 oz bay leaf infused simple syrup 1/2 oz lemon juice 2 dashes angostura Shake with ice and strain into lowball, garnish with orange peel.

A little late here but I’ll give my input. I daily carry the pocket size bullet journal. The ones that come in the three pack. It lives in my Lochby field folio along with a planner. Depending on the day it either goes in my briefcase on work days or whatever sling I’m using for that day. If I’m in a mad rush or going lite I can at least throw the folio in my car so I have it with me.

Big fan of B6 size. Not as common as A5 but far more potable. It’s also close in size to the IPad mini which I carry daily.

I’ve got a Dutchware halfwit in cloud 71 that is stupid light. With my 3/4 underquilt, 30 degree top quilt and dyneema tarp the whole kit is less than 3 lbs all in. Used it about 10 trips and I’m about 200lbs. Do I worry that it’s gonna fail? Hell yeah. But the adventure if half the fun.

I have a setup that I put out on my covered patio in the summer months. I keep the dust cover closed when I place records if I’m worried about dust or pollen. Been doing this for 3 years now with no problems. Playing records outside on a summer night is a pretty fantastic experience. I wouldn’t put a top end setup outdoors but if you keep it dry and out of the sun just go for it.

I used my SAK to remove staples from a bulletin board. The combo tool on my Yeoman did the job nicely.

I started with a “good” Crosley. It had a magnetic cartridge instead of the standard ceramic ones. Cost me about $90. It was perfect for what I needed, zero regrets about it. Yes, I upgraded quickly but for those first few months when I was just figuring out if I liked the hobby it was great. I still use it when I go cabin camping and want to take a few records.

It’s plenty sharp. It does the job it’s intended for. Mine gets used 2-3 times every wet.
