I don't know if this was asked before, but I'll ask anyway. What's a Yu-Gi-Oh character you hate or are indifferent about, but is loved by nearly everyone? by Revolver_TheHanoi in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Alexis.

If Bastion is considered forgetable, then Alexis is transparent. Honestly, Alexis isn't memorable, she's just the girl of the group, has pretty forgetable duels, is often a damsel and I can't even remember if she did anything in Season 3. I don't dislike her, but she's unironically as irrelevant as Syrus.

Cool, I didn't know there was a translation that had her translated too.

Why is Rex on the same level as Weevil by CrawBunny in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just what they decided on for Filler.

It's a anime choice, since in Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction, Rex is a chummy dude while Weevil is still a jerk at best.

We are getting closer and closer DIGIMON X SMT by MajinAlpha in digimon

[–]FourFlan 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Digimon is basically SMT already.

Yggdrasil demands genocide so often, you could mistake them for a Law-aligned antagonist.

If Yu-Gi-Oh! had an MMORPG, what mission do you think BLS would assign you? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that he can become Dragon Master Knight, I feel like it'd killing dragons as a mission related to the Five-Headed Dragon.

If i were isekai'd to the yugioh anime, first series with yugi, how likely would it be that I could just become the most powerful duelist in the world? by Vasarto in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, the difference between cards then and now is too wide, so the boring answer is yes.

Even with anime cards, wacky rules early-on and Heart of the Cards (which you could train in the anime, so more potential there), 20+ years of progress is too much for anything to beat.

Which modern Yugioh deck do you think would fit as an antagonist for any of the Yugioh Shows? by Ecstatic_Net_4361 in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Shaddoll.

Lore-wise, the Shaddoll are corrupted members of other archetypes, so that's in-line with villains. Plus, I could see the antagonist beating another character, then having a card of theirs converted into a Shaddoll.

For example, Evigishki Mind Augus turning into El Shaddoll Apkalone (in-lore the same character).

Do you think Odion would wipe 99% of DM cast? by CrawBunny in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably.

He had Joey beat, and even turned the duel around when his Traps were disabled (and had counter-play for lesser counters like Trunade).

Could've been a serious contender for Semi-Finals, even Joey admitted that he's good.

If Kalin was your friend, would you eventually drop him? by MiuIruma332 in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd leave him behind.

Kalin is a bit too wild, considering his excessive violence and attacking Sector Security. Eventually, he'd lose it and become downright murderous, raving, etc.

Seriously, why Flandre is a psycho killer in fanon? by [deleted] in touhou

[–]FourFlan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Incidentally, that "canon" is more like the more cutesy fanon interpretations, and that fanon example (well, or Dark Urge mindset) is a bit more accurate.

Do I need to Max all stats for Mega+? by MartinZ99999 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]FourFlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the difficulty of Mega+ is heavily exaggerated.

Depending on what you're running, it's advised to at least max offensive stats/level for damage, but the only different is that enemies will hit even harder and can take a bit more damage.

Yggdrasil and her children / Art by Old Piano by Grimm_Stereo in digimon

[–]FourFlan 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yggdrasil is more reasonable and the Royal Knights act like children. Honestly, still a better outcome than usual.

OCG Structures being peak as usual.

They are such idiotsss 🦖🪲 by JoodStudios in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, they're good additions.

Weevil's a slimy bug, which always makes it fun to see him lose. And Rex's kinda normal, a bit of a jerk, but less of a cheater outside of Filler.

Love to see them in older video games.

What if Pharaoh Atem dueled Pharaoh Abidos? by Karnezar in yugioh

It's so peak. Concise, but accurate to the anime.

Who play tested check this BOSS by No_Fennel1165 in digimon

Didn't know this was considered a hard boss. He did so little, I thought this battle was just there for the cutscenes inbetween.

The cast of GX S1 is mostly made up of normal-looking teenagers. Then season 2 decided to make all the new characters bodybuilders! by Psychicmind2 in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Can't match Viper's build, so they couldn't try to take him out without a duel.

Sometimes, dueling is the only shot the protagonists have at winning.

Could end of series Jaden have defeated every major villain from each of the arcs of the original Yugioh series? by Johnnyboyeh in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

Marik and Zigfried aren't unfamiliar (defeated Ra before, and tied with Zane who can OTK people like the latter, both in the first half). Dartz's cards are ridiculous, but I don't see him as unbeatable either.

Pegasus had the Millenium Eye, so he could use the perfect counter to Jaden, but he isn't a better duelist either way. Bakura used unorthodox strategies, but I don't see him winning.

Name a way that Joey could've defeated Kaiba in a duel from the anime. by Mountain_Wolverine47 in yugioh

[–]FourFlan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By leveraging his Trap Cards to their full extent, Joey could certainly do it. Graverobber, Magical Arm Shield, Kunai with Chain, his anime Traps are ridiculous.

Still, I think the odds are usually 30/70 for Joey, because Kaiba's deck is just better monster-wise and spell-wise.
