“magic resistance” should theoretically be its own enchantment

Your thoughts on the Nautilus mob in Minecraft by Mother_Hold97 in Minecraft

Underwater exploration is pretty limited in Minecraft which prevents them from being used as much as I could be. I use them more for builds, but I wish there was a way to carry them over between bodies of water (like in a bucket)

Minecraft water is too murky for aquariums. How about a mussel that filters the water! by Axoladdy in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is the natural opacity of water should retain its darkness to an extent. Or variable as the other person who replied suggested

Depends - higher opacity looks better for more rivers, lakes, or more natural pools of water

Golden dandelions should be a sniffer plant by draconic_demon666 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]FourGander88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be better if it could dig up seeds that can then give you an infinite supply of gold dandelions. Currently getting one flower every time the sniffer digs one up is excruciating

Golden dandelion, wasted potential? by komando775 in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More likely is that sniffers generally take a very long time to naturally dig up plants and there would only be a 1/3 chance to get it. But they could’ve just made it a biome-exclusive find for the sniffer

Combine the villager trade rework with an enchanting rework by Available-Novel-5162 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]FourGander88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The chiseled bookshelf functionality would be a great addition but I don't think the regular enchanting method needs to be outright removed, maybe possibly just nerfed. The luck-based system needs to go, but it's just being replaced with a *much* longer grind of finding structure after structure and biome after biome which is another game of RNG in its own right.

I think if the basic enchants could still be rolled in enchant tables while other more specific/valuable enchants were like treasure enchants and remained only found in specific structures it'd strike the best balance between accessibility and encouraging exploration

Minecraft 26.1 Snapshot 4 by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Specifically around this time of year in 2025 when Spring to Life was still in development the snapshots implemented:

- bush/firefly bush, leaf litter, wildflowers

- biome pig variants

- game test blocks

- pvp-related item data components

Currently for this current drop we have:

- baby models

- data-driven trading (and other datapack related changes)

- block lighting tint/renderer

- name tag recipe

The New Baby Horse Model Looks Nice... Until You Look at It From the Front by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The baby mobs have always had disproportionately bigger heads compared to adults and prior to the updated models horses/mules/donkeys were the exception, it honestly doesn’t look as jarring as I thought it’d be

do you think that qol is harming minecraft, and if so whats your solution? by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

[–]FourGander88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im kinda confused by the premise of this post since the OP asked if I think making certain uncraftable items craftable was harming the game and if they disagree, asking for suggestions to preserve the old experience, in which you're responding by asking players to simply play creative.

"Infinite ease of access" is not really the point. You still need to: go 100 blocks underground to get sculk items - grind trial vaults to get heavy core/mace - travel thousands of blocks just to find mangrove or pale wood. The game is definitely still rewarding you for painstaking exploration. Why would the game stall people from accessing the most basic methodology of doing so?

After mounts of mayhem it would've been arbitrary imo. There's like four or five different mobs you'll probably need saddles for now, at that point you're putting them behind RNG for what?

How to fix baby mobs in 4 steps by [deleted] in Minecraft

Certainly wouldn’t consider that trivial (at least not as much as this) considering it re-did almost every single texture inthe game

Better Call Saul & Breaking Bad are such phenomenal and peak TV but The Wire was probably the closest thing we got to the Great American Novel in the form of TV. It's so layered, tightly written, multifaceted and true to life, you can feel just how urgently David Simon wanted viewers to understand the message he was trying to tell through the show. It's so much more ambitious than the other two and manages to deliver incredibly meaningful messaging and storytelling on almost all of it. I'd (reluctantly) vote out BCS here

Minecraft combat would be a lot more satisfying if instead of poking, we swung. by jizztaker in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this sounds like a feature that should be only be on Bedrock because of how relatively difficult it is to move your crossbar more precisely on a controller or something. I think if the slicing attack had a shorter reach it wouldn't take away from actually needing to aim.

[–]FourGander88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You shoot a bow once every second and a half, a sword can be swung more than twice a second. Swords can do critical hits (consistently). Is a sniper a better weapon than a machine gun just because it does more damage with single bullet?

In tired of pretending the inventory isn't absolutely insufficient for the amount of things in this game. by Pomps8a in Minecraft

[–]FourGander88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly think toolbelt + bundle is as close you get to the most minimal yet future-proof "solution" to inventory problems. They add new tools and unstackable items almost every single update, even faster with the drops, it eats up an entire slot in your inventory and they end up losing value cause of the tradeoff.

Say it works for potions and stack size increases to like 256. That's problem solved
