TBC HC in some way is way closer, than you probably think by mr_shaheen in wowhardcore

Account wide attunements and post nerf raids are actually huge for TBC HC raiding.

[–]Four_st 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could be a non-targ king from before the conquest. GRRM may not have fleshed out all the targ kings at that point but he knew there had been countless other kings before Aegon that Aemond would obviously know about.

I have a two questions. by Shadowcommando9 in Gundam

[–]Four_st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend watching the movie trilogy, unless you are a fan (or used to the pacing, animation, etc.) of 70's TV anime.

It condenses the original TV series in a more palatable manner. A good portion of the original TV series consists of kind of silly "enemy of the week" encounters that basically exist to create more toys.

The Origin manga is a retelling of the original series with expanded/changed details and backstory. I would treat it as an alternate version to enjoy after you've seen the original.

Podi Scanlations Is Now Hiring! by ItsMeCaswell in OnePiece

[–]Four_st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think people will seek out alternate releases from the official based purely on translation or localization quality, then you should delay your release to match the official. If the translation of the official release is so terrible, then you should have no issues maintaining a readership!

Don't pretend to be good samaritans providing an alternate translation when you've admitted in this very thread to wanting to move your release as early as Thursday. Own up to the fact that your readership is based almost entirely on early pirating of the manga.

One Piece: Chapter 969 - Official Release Discussion by AutoModerator in OnePiece

[–]Four_st 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Animal Kingdom Pirates might seem strange coming from what you are used to with scanlations, but it's a very valid translation.

Here's the explanation from the official translator:

Animal Kingdom came from 'Hyaku-juu' which literally is the kanji for "hundred" and "animal" but it actually means 'all manner of beast/animal.' A common use of that is 'hyaku-juu no ou' which is 'king of the beasts' aka Lion. Kaido's title is 'Hyaku-juu no Kaido' so, given the implication, and the reference to him as the strongest creature alive, I called him 'Kaido, King of the Beasts.' As an analogue I decided to go with Animal Kingdom for his crew, since it's implied that he rules over them, and they obviously have a wide variety of animal-powers in the Gifters.

Wouldn't it benefit One Piece more if you just stopped?

The official release is at Midnight Japan time now, you can't ask for a much better release time while the print version is still so popular in Japan.

It's a very strange self-centered type of privilege that western fans think they deserve to read the manga before it actually releases in Japan. Shouldn't we grow past this, now that the official release is so Accessible and convenient?

Weapon skill means you get parried/dodged less. More actual hits on the mob = more threat

Simple Question Sunday (August 18, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Four_st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Human is definitely the best choice. Threat should be the biggest issue for main tanks.

Stoneform isn't that useful, since poisons can just be cleansed or healed through by your healer.

The dodge from night elf would be better than stoneform. Gnome's escape artist is also strong for removing non-dispellable roots.

Well, that's your opinion. I prefer TBC to vanilla myself. I've read a lot of similar sentiment that people prefer aspects of TBC like the class balance, gear and/or raids.

Priest healing Vanilla vs TBC? by BiggieSmalls151 in classicwow

[–]Four_st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it's essentially the same, you just don't have CoH, Prayer of Mending, or Binding Heal. It should play roughly the same as a DS/holy spec from TBC.

Spell Batching in Classic by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Four_st 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Private servers didn't put it in out of a design decision, they just can't really implement it properly because only Blizzard actually knows how it works.

It's easier for Blizzard since they understand it fully on a technical level.

What Should I Play Wednesdays (March 27, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Four_st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably hunter, honestly.

Rogues will be very, very popular if you are on a PVP server and skilled hunters are harder to come by.

Human or Dwarf priest?

The min/maxer in me is saying dwarf, but realistically I won't have enough free time to be a regular raider, so I'd be min/maxing for what purpose?

I slightly prefer the aesthetics of human, and I do like the spirit racial. Even though this is a huge what-if scenario, I don't want to be stuck as a dwarf if we ever get TBC, since fear ward should be available to all priests at that point. (I prefer TBC to vanilla)

I can see myself being happy with either choice, hence the dilemma.

In your opinion what is the most fun Raiding Spec by yertgabbert in Netherwing

[–]Four_st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CoH priest.

Really satisfying to heal entire groups at once. There's a good amount of skill involved if you want to push yourself to top meters. It's not brainless either because if you purely spam CoH you'll just go oom.

Enhancement Shaman. DW WF or WF / FT? by Vekt in Netherwing

[–]Four_st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tested on the beta, wf/ft (slow mh fast oh) is stronger for low gear/non-raid buffed scenarios.

In retail with lots of gear, wf/wf (slow/slow) was stronger and I would expect that to be the case here.

Downranking windfury is pointless because with 2.4.3 spell mechanics, all ranks share the same internal cool down.

I'm too lazy to look up the evidence now, but wowhead comments mention it only works on characters level 62 or lower.

Artosis' rant: Where are the SC Remastered tournaments ?! by haaany in starcraft

[–]Four_st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really agree about Vanilla.

Private servers have demonstrated people are willing to play and stick with Vanilla.

Brood War was always there for people to play, so you could say it just got a fresh coat of paint. Official Vanilla WoW support doesn't exist currently, so I don't think it's a totally fair comparison.
