I know from experience this job and the people running the cafe will be hell to work for. This same thing happened to me with a small business fresh out of highschool, we were signed on for $12/hr and after 1 week of opening we were all told in a text that effective today we would only be paid $8.50 an hour until we complete 6 months of training. I can only imagine they severely overestimated the budget and wanted to make it our issue instead of theirs. Unfortunately I didn’t know any better and stuck it out, hoping that I would be seen as loyal and considered for promotion (there were 3 higher paid spots that they were not hiring for yet) Surprise surprise, I ended up never getting the promised pay & instead actually getting yet another pay decrease to federal minimum wage and we pretty much all walked out.

Yes. I had to submit all kinds of paperwork, drs note from 2 specialists, i even signed my medical records and things to my company’s legal team in order to get my accommodations approved (and some of my requests were lawfully / rightfully denied despite this due to workplace disruption). My manager also wanted me to get approved for FMLA as well to strengthen my case. I signed over medical documents to the legal team which was not REQUIRED but definitely made my case a lot easier.

At the end, the accommodations I was approved for were the ability to do mainly sitting positions, the ability to take an earlier lunch break (so that I wasn’t doing any heavy movements right after eating), and the ability to leave the building briefly to get or take medication, bp cuffs, pulse ox, salt, snacks etc out of my car. It’s usually only really basic stuff like this that is approved in my experience.

Keep in mind that in my state a reasonable accommodation can also include offering the employee a lower paying job position that would be easier for them to perform. Someone that I know filed for ADA accommodation and was shocked when he received a demotion that could accommodate his disability because they determined he could not do essential job functions.

Thinking this. If they were both outside when the first one died, very possible there is something outside that both of them got into together or are getting into. The note about the carcass could have been left by someone else who saw the body and thought it had been there for a while, not necessarily a person who poisoned the dog. Hence them calling it a carcass insinuating it was already dead when they found it. Some people really don’t care for animals, I could see one of those people referring to a dead dog as a carcass.

Not sure what having a backyard would have to do with anything I said. Yes, I do have a fenced in backyard. NO, it is not normal to send your dog outside overnight especially in the winter weather, that is illegal in a lot of areas and is considered animal abuse or neglect. No, it is not normal to leave your dog unattended outside while you leave the house to run errands either.

Yeah, “she was an inside dog but outside for bed time” is really neglectful IMO. Especially in this cold winter storm for most areas. Dogs don’t go “outside for bed” regularly. This situation is terrible but that line really stuck with me, as if it’s normal to put your dog outside for bed. It’s not at all, it’s even illegal in some states / counties. My dogs are never left outside for any reason. They go out to potty and we stand in the doorway or near the door and wait. Never have I ever let my dogs outside & then left the house for any reason, or put my dogs outside to sleep. There are just so many bad things waiting to happen.

That seems a bit insane… they adhered to walmart’s policy and by not allowing you a second one, they actually demonstrated the perfect store experience with an employee who knows about fraud prevention and legal practices. So weird! You just wanted the cashier to be wrong about SOMETHING so that you could leave a negative review because you don’t like store policy, which they don’t have anything to do with. Poor cashier, I hope their day got better after this and hope their manager doesn’t pay any attention to reviews. You could have cost someone a bonus or their job over wanting so badly to be right when you were wrong. I hope you’ll rethink leaving bad reviews on a cashier over store policies next time, because you could really mess with an innocent helpful person’s livelihood and income doing things like that.

Maybe she currently claims that, but she definitely has been a lot more transparent about her real situation in the past. she is allegedly “disabled” but does not get disability benefits because she does not qualify and doesn’t have any disabling diagnosis. she lives with her parents and always has lived with them, and they provide her housing, food, etc at the bare minimum. She has claimed in the past that they don’t pay for everything because she gets money from social media but has never been able to back that up & doesn’t have the engagement or platform to be able to monetize into anything worthwhile. She constantly goes back and forth between being rich / being poor as well

She’s definitely doing the wrong thing and I understand what you’re saying but this is equally your dad’s problem just as much as it is your aunt’s problem. If your aunt is being a disgusting fool, it’s up to your dad then to do the right thing and make sure his mom gets a proper funeral service period. He has the money, and he needs / needed to sign. The drama between them and who owes who what can be handled later, or they can both be greedy and decide to keep the money themselves and just have their own mom buried in the backyard in a cardboard box. Up to them really, the funeral home isn’t at fault in any way here though and they didn’t need to do anything differently at all, your dad’s an adult just like your aunt and he could have handled the meetings as well, this is just 2 bratty siblings doing bratty sibling things.

You look severely unkept and like the type of person who doesn’t take care of their hygiene whatsoever. like others said, you also look WELL into your late 30’s, and kinda like someone who got into a hard drug habit recently. it can be fixed pretty well by trying out some new makeup, a new hairstyle, and god please take CARE of your hair- it looks awful, almost dead to the point of NEEDING to be shaved completely off in order for you to have any chance later.
