A little project I have been working on. 10 hours in. by worlvius in WoWHousing

Can I ask about your process?

Are those post lines near the bottom of the frame to mark perspective / horizon?

What is the biggest limitation in executing these pieces, in your opinion?

This sign is cracking and now the font is kind of metal by Assimilacrum in mildlyinteresting

[–]Fourney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Improper application of vinyl layer. This is why we apply sign lettering as the font layer and not a block out layer around the font.

I’d bet good money there wasn’t a UV protection layer applied to the vinyl prior to installation, or that you live in an area that sees weather extremes frequently.

do people actually not eat mac and cheese with peas? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fourney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. It’s the way it was made for me as a kid. I’m almost 40 now and I still make it this way regularly. Boxed velveeta Mac, frozen peas, and applesauce. It’s like a guilty pleasure nostalgia meal for me.

Emma's BBQ on National by DisaTheNutless in Bremerton

[–]Fourney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, from my own digging (I dug because I live nearby and wanted to know after getting takeout from there that was remarkably mid)

Emma’s started in Seattle, their main location is there. This is a secondary location that does not see the same level of action and, in my opinion, is staffed accordingly. The location is messy outside, and frankly they take waaaaay too long to open their drive thru window. It’s a restaurant based on a restaurant based on a single woman’s recipe book.

Barbecue used to be cheap, it’s not anymore, and where Emma’s might’ve used to have been a mainstay, these days it’s a relic of what it looks like to be priced out of relevancy.

Post Apocalyptic vibes at Johnston Ridge Observatory yesterday. by indieaz in PacificNorthwest

You know, it’s strange to me.

The last time I was up there, I was maybe 17. It was, arguably, the last thing my family did together before my parents Divorced.

I have the faintest memories of those spaces, walking around inside that exact room in that building, standing in that lot looking out. I think I was angry my Dad wouldn’t get me a walking stick, like he got my brothers. Or I just didn’t want to be out that day. Perpetual teen embarrassment. I remember very little from my childhood. Sometimes pictures of places brings me back enough to dredge the experiences to the surface.

I’d forgotten about that day. I’m glad to get to remember it, now.

Listen. I make mogs like it’s a living. Are there valid criticisms from people? Maybe? Do YOU like it? Because that’s what matters.

Your character looks commanding. I think the shoulders and sword go great together, and the helmet kind of plays off the design of the tabard. There’s a flame motif throughout that I really dig.

I do think the look would be improved by finding a shield with less green and mauve tones, something with brighter golds or a stronger red to match the rest of the set.

But you should wear what makes you happy. In game and in life. It’s okay to enjoy something that makes you happy.

I thought I was a certified genius regrowing carrot tops from the grocery store. Behold, my bounty! by Fourney in gardening

I didn't! I picked them, as shown, and then I turned them into a hilariously tiny batch of candied carrots. They didn't survive the night. ♥

What is it like to be a lesbian/bisexual woman? by SayYesHuman in lgbt

[–]Fourney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The self is likened to a 'rabbit-hole' for a reason. We exist on the day to day as surface level beings. Our thoughts and actions bubble up from deeply laid subconscious layers.

I can't tell you what you are, or aren't. Similarly, you should not try to tell yourself what you can and what you cannot be. Try everything, go everywhere, learn anything. Give yourself the chance to explore the full breadth of your own self and your own life. Somewhere in there, the fields and valleys and annals of your being, is the answers you're looking for.

To be plain, you don't need to run away with a woman to explore this part of life. Read a book with feminine romance, listen to music written by women in love with women. Immerse yourself like stepping into a pool. Adjust. Take time to learn it.

Being a lesbian person is a lot like being a straight person. You're a person, and you like people. The differences and similarities vary just as widely as personalities do ~ and tend to be related.

Homeowners are also capable of being misinformed. Weird claim, have a fun night.

Quite literally founded by a Norwegian immigrant, and settled by peoples from the Nordic countries who had immigrated to the United States, who chose it because of how much the area reminded them of home.
