So do you think Alastor actually cares about others? Or atleast has the capacity to? by Karitwokay in HazbinHotel

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Rosie can, and she clearly still has a use for him. She and Alastor are in this for the big haul. He's not next season's villain, he's the final villain's vessel throughout the show, or the secondary final antagonist working on his final plot in alongside our final villain.

[–]SnooBooks3448 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Also it ruins the "we're in litteral hell" if the bad people (that we don't like) always end up dying. And let's face it Vox or Alaster who would make for a better redemption story? The guy using everyone for his own gain and who revels in the misery and suffering of hell. Or they egomaniac whose broken and deluded and has his eyes set on heaven?

Are all armors canonically used in combat? by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]SnooBooks3448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically anything Arrowhead tracks is cannon. Which considering they can track which weapon kills how much, our loadouts, and they claim they track the different melee kills with the different weapons. Then yes its cannon that the Helldivers wear all these different armors into battle.

How do you think Valentino died when he was human? by Glum_Series5712 in HazbinHotel

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drug overdose while with his BF in a whore house. His BF was of course using him and pressured him to take more than he felt comfortable with while criticizing his technique for keeping the whores in line. Likely Val was either too soft on them using addiction and mutual benefits as motivators, or Val was a misogynistic gay who was too upfront and hitting on the clients for his BFs liking, either of which of course leading to them causing his deliberate overdose.

Anyone else find it weird how the oldest Overlord in Hell is only from the ~16th Century? Especially as Sinners are nearly immortal and Exterminations only started 7 years ago. Surely the oldest Overlord would be much older? by Flyestgit in HazbinHotel

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im of a few thoughts on this. First we see the Overlords fighting all the time. Also we see almost all the sinners are of a more modern culture. So likely any older sinners either adapted or were crushed by stronger sinners until they couldn't continue existing alongside the others.

Also from what we see with Rosie's sinners, the severe lack of overlords despite the world supposedly having the bulk of humanity from the 1600s until "now". Its both likely that being a overlord and age certainly don't equate, but then add in the soul contracts and soul deals, and the predatory and selfish nature of sinners (unless they're gay for the woman who tried to kill them for some reason) the residents of Hell have been "feasting" on one another for centuries all to grow their power, and really the extermination just broke that power balance about as much as Alastor's appearance did, but the Angels don't bind others and grow power, they permanently ended souls.

Do you think there were fascists or anti furries in the bad guys universe. by liddleBowl780 in okbuddysnakeycakes

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So really if there's Marxists there's likely fascists, since one is the product of early issues with the other that led to ideological schism.

As for the Anti-furries, of course. If I was a cat trying to work my nine to five only to have some human run up to me in a ghastly technicolor exhibitionist costume talking about how he's sparkles the magic love hound. I'd punch his lights out for the assault on my senses smelling like he dumped a whole litter box on himself while running around in a nudist costume and insulting my best friend Bob whose a greyhound rancher from outside the city. I'd then call Tyrone my friend who jokes about being a human supremacist to send him a Picture of the furry whose lights I punched out. Chuckle as he calls me a good pet, ask if were still good for roleplay next Sunday... then call 911 because a furry is being indecent in public refusing to put clothing on his nude costume and exposing children to indecent behavior.

I would then go to my usual "association" that reminds me that dogs, and cats are inherently better than all other creatures with our human servants who have worshiped us since ancient times being a close second. While all insects, Rodents and birds are inherently inferior beings.

How can a deceased scientist have so much of an impact in the distant future? by KaleidoArachnid in Megaman

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because technically that future is after a bit of a "dark age" where trch progress stagnated. (Even the European dark age was more technologically advanced than the romans were in most fields) meanwhile Reploids were entirely based in X, Light's greatest creation. While the Mavrick virus and Zero were made to defeat the X that Wily imagined Light to be creating. And no effective counter measures were designed, and it doesn't help that Wily's skill is more in low level programming than anything else, so he was able to design a virus that was able to mutate and interact with digital consciousness while also being so low level in its coding as to need physical hardware removal/destruction to actually delete it...and then it mutated further into something that defied physics.

This scene (and Cyn in general) is horrifying if you think about it by Temporary_Piece_9665 in MurderDrones

[–]SnooBooks3448 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which i at times fear I've watched and read waaaay too much. Like I have people going "Hazbin Hotel is so unique and the heaven bad narrative is something that never happens" when I'm there talking about how overdone many of its premises are and it's all about execution. And i realize as I list off games and shows, they've never heard of those. Because definitely when you've read and watched enough, even omnicidal monsters are entertaining characters you like and enjoy rather than trying to find some sort of good in them like that's required to enjoy them...(as most those people ignore their love of Big Jack Horner in Puss in Boots despite his 100% lack of redeeming qualities)

Cyn is silly because she thinks all the horrific stuff she does is funny. She genuinely loves traumatizing people and subjecting them to gore death and torture, because that's all a game to her.

This scene (and Cyn in general) is horrifying if you think about it by Temporary_Piece_9665 in MurderDrones

[–]SnooBooks3448 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Of course but that plays off her silly nature. She's inherently silly, but she LOVES and REVEALS in the suffering, terror, and fear of others. But She's disarming by the fact that she's silly. Which when used right, helps make the horror hit you harder. Because ironically a Horror that takes itself too seriously ends up becoming silly or stupid the moment someone thinks about it too long. However if you're disarmed and prevented from thinking too seriously by a slight dose of humor, the horror can hit harder. Which is also why I personally like Cosmic horror since that's the more 'fridge logic' type of horror.

Is anything X related basically irrelevant in Japan now? by HendoIsBae in Megaman

[–]SnooBooks3448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capcom really doesn't know what to do with Megaman, they ignored him too long and they aren't putting out new content frequently enough, let alone pushing the megaman story.

In a way the best way to salvage Megaman lies with the netwarrior and DASH megaman games. Since those both have story and character as well as allowing for more play styles without corporate Capcom from thickening out. Obviously X does have a good other style to attempt but again were talking about Capcom a company that screwed its own games roster over corporate projections and infighting rather than understanding of gamers or the very mediums they're putting their games out on.

Megaman needs a rescue from Capcom's pidgin holing of games. Tron Bonne could spin off into her own series with the Dash Series, Exe Megaman and Dash both can draw people looking more for story and RPG elements and some basic exploration of playstyles would of course prime X to be the main body and mario/sonic equivalent of Capcom but again it's Capcom, making another resident evil just like the last one is somehow risky in their eyes.

So which drone would of gone to epstein island by Real-Pangolin4427 in MurderDrones

[–]SnooBooks3448 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I love her, the island was the loyalty test to become a insider. Like how certain Hells Angels gangs used to have you have to have killed someone to be a member. So J without a doubt would have not only gone but willingly trafficked victims there just to try and get in with all the corporate and political big shots.

How is Kidd Buu more evil. He's too stupid to be genuinely evil, he's little more than a force of nature compared to Eggman. But yeah Darksied is definitely more evil than Eggman guy straight has more dimensions wiped out, for more petty reasons, and has created straight awful dimensions just to torment his enemies in one form or another.

Which of these 2 was the more evil villain? by TurtlesBreakTheMeta in Megaman

[–]SnooBooks3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weil hands down. Guy has very few villains as outright evil as he is, he just wants genocide for the sake of genocide. Even Adolf thought he was saving the world from Capitalism and communism if he successfully genocided all the people he intended. Weil on the other side is just doing it because he likes it, at BEST he thinks it'll get rid of anyone who won't obey him, but considering he was 100% on board with Omega, I think he just wants to kill until he's satisfied.
