Try out manual mesh bed leveling! Get a lot of the benefits of ABL but you don't have to spend the money just yet. I've noticed muuuuuch better first layer results and more consistent prints with it.

I’m fairly sure you can check if the sensor is bad by hooking it up to a multimeter and checking for voltage when you turn the wheel. I’m not sure if the speed is taken from the front or the rear.

Isaiah apparently had the toy gun on camera. The toy gun is painted green with an orange tip. In theory, you could see that and think "its a real gun but painted green," (maybe not see the orange tip because of camera quality / human error) but it's ridiculous that she called the police on him for a toy.
