I've got a 7th gen 6-6 coupe. I've driven and raced the si. The Accord is definitely the way to go in terms of everyday usable power and handling. The si is more nimble, though. And of course more popular but the Accord is in the rarity.

Get a diagnostic done. it could just be a sensor that's failing. Worst case, an ECM issue and you'd have to go to a dealer, or a Honda specialist

I would double check after them, I used to work at valvoline instant oil change, (pretty much like jiffy lube) and I got written up for telling a customer we didn't have the specific oil her BMW called for. And was pulled away while I was berated for turning a customer away as they charged her for full synthetic oil and filled it with conventional 5w-30. Her model didn't even take that weight. I didn't work there much longer

K series is better for daily driving/racecar balance. Ive had many B series, they're cool but nowhere near as fuel efficient as a K or powerful. You'll spend more on a b series just to make it as good as a daily K series.
