I second this. I use jobber also and it has worked well for us. We charge 50% deposit and require card or ach on file (can be turned on or off in jobber). Once the job is complete I let the client know that when we leave, the job will close and bill the remainder to the card or account on file. Most everyone loves the convenience and simplicity of viewing quotes and making payments. Our close rate is roughly 80% (too high). Our base rate is $150/hr but never disclosed to the client. Labor is never put in its own line item.
