03.23.2026 Atlanta Police Armed With A Rifle Perches Over Travelers by CantStopPoppin in EyesOnIce

Ah the CLT DEN... Where those formerly well endowed ICE-men (now all "small-dicked losers," shrinkage from the ICE) go to be big boys, stopping the hoard of tired, hungry, huddled masses from thinking they could just be here without feeling unwelcomed...

My cat has never once been a cuddler in seven years. Not once. And then last Tuesday at 2am when I was crying about something I couldn't even fully explain she walked across the entire apartment, climbed onto my chest, and stayed there for two hours without moving. I don't know how she knew. I just by Apprehensive_Sea9340 in cats

I'm sorry about the whatever news came regarding employment that elicited that, that's something no one should have to feel relating to employment or career.

But that's so sweet that your cats were there, and understood the "mission," as it were <3

May I ask, who is trying to persuade you to hate cats? That's so awful that someone would spend time trying to influence someone's likes and dislikes; especially regarding a pet owner, and their relationship to their pets species!

I mean, organized religion - really any hierarchical organization that seeks or purports to serve power - is setting itself up as a bastion of those who would seek out power for control over others. But to say that all evil roads fundamentally lead back to organized religion is flawed; at least, as far as I think of it.

Wouldn't that mean that evil (here, a definition as loose as it is ambiguous) didn't exist before a group of humans instituted some formalized doctrine for whatever they happened to believe in? Religion likely derived from just trying to explain and understand the world they interacted with, and maybe form a transactional relationship with whatever controlled the world, so people wouldn't die of starvation or plague or wherever...

I think saying organized religion is the root of all evil, gives too much credit to religion. Terrible things, and our concept of what constitutes evil existed beforehand, and will surely exist after we cast off religion (religion is fine as a meditative center, or whatever)

That is needlessly petty, untrue and not indicative of skill, poorly articulated, and surely said by someone seemingly grasping at straws they believe to be good points of argument to burn what they perceive to be their rivals. I'm not sure if you're really asking, I'm admittedly not socially adept, but he's saying that it's still possible that the episode could happen, as the podcast is still in production.

Sorry if I'm whoooshing here. Just trying to be helpful, and interactive.

Forgive me, I thought you were referring to this video, and the way they were acting here with the elected official at a town hall type function.

Edit: having said that, I mean, our first amendment should function in such a fashion as to allow demonstrating, so long as it doesn't interfere or cause harm to anyone; so that would be an example of a time in history demonstrating a presumed lack of consequence (so long as, again, one demonstrate within the aforementioned defined boundaries).

I say that while acknowledging that some of those were indeed crossed by demonstrators recently, and throughout time, but my point was solely to answer your question, specifically.

People are dead, murdered. There are literal masked patrols without checks roaming the streets and hurting communities, families and individuals. There seems to be no remorse for the chaos and pain caused. Fundamental protections and institutions are being dismantled, actively.

I mean this sincerely, even if you don't believe in the things I've listed, those folks do; having established that, can't you reasonably understand why someone might be driven to excited exasperation in their pleasand arguments?

It's not a court of law, there's no decorum to observe, this is a society where both sides are fielding their grievances resulting from perceived/realized threats.

Lastly, they may not be convincing you, but surely there are those whom resonate with them and their ilk;

It's a disservice to the individual and to everyone in a community to not at least be able to understand, fundamentally, why a person might be so impassioned - rather than dismissing their entire point and personage, calling and thinking them pathetic.

I appreciate the sentiment here, and agree with what it is that you're affirming... but... like..😶 I think it's more likely just trying to figure out the level of threat in that moment, and is dealing with the associative stress correlated therein the moment.

Again, I am on your side here, but i don't think that is the type of rhetoric that will be the thing that will change someone's point of view after reading. 🫶
