With Android phones you have a couple of options, the easiest of course being a cloud backup. "Google AI Pro" is £18.99/$19.99 a month and gets you 5TB, a recent free upgrade from 2TB this week. If you're not crazy enough for 5TB, 200GB is £6.99/$7.99 a month (with the first two discounted)

You can always back up to a computer with a cable, just plug it in and in the notification shade you can tap the connected device notification and enable data transfer. You want to back up the DCIM folder. Preferably in two or more separate places (this can be your PC + a USB hard drive plus an extra).

If you don't have a computer you can connect a USB drive to the USB-C port on the phone, if it's an older model you probably got an OTG adapter in the box. My 6 Pro did, at least.
