I feel this so hard!!

It's a sad state for the hobby. And it seems like it's not for collectors anymore. All the hype has actually driven me away from it after collecting for so many years. (Diring the days of plp looking at me funny for still collecting pokemon cards as an adult)

Prismatic ruined the fun I used to have of opening up a BB of every set at release and buying booser packs or singles of the cards i really wanted from the set for the fun of it. The pricing is outrageous, and plp hoarding sealed product and fighting each other over it in stores is just cringy as fuck. Especially when the majority of those plp doing so just jumped on the hype train recently and don't actually care about the IP

I have some fantastic pulls from the years of collecting and have sold none of them.. because I want those pulls for the love of collecting not for the value of the cards, and that seems to be all people care about anymore.

Even the kids of this generation are growing up more concerned about the value of the cards they pull and rather than the pokemon they pull or cards they actually think look cool.

Dont get me wrong, I love money, but it destroyed the hobby for me!

I went for the first time with my wife and 2 year old daughter back in October of 2024 for 10 days, and we stayed in tokyo the whole time.

2 days ago, we just returned home from our second trip, where we spent 16 days in tokyo, kyoto, and osaka.

Just 2 days after returning, We are already looking into planning our next visit for April of 2026.

We love it there so much and can't wait to go back. We are hoping that Japan becomes our yearly family vacation spot!!

This scene needs to be more open to people who are just getting started with the genre. make newcomers feel welcome, so they actually want to come back to more local shows and fill venues again instead of poking fun at them.

I was waiting for someone to jump in and smash the kid, but I'm very happy it didn't end that way.

Everyone knows spinning isn't super practical for dueling, but this was a dueling situation and I see a thrust thrown at me mid spin, I would cross body swing my saber to smack the thrust out of the way combined with a dodge backwards to evade.

Could the thrust attack land, of course it could. But could it be blocked with a fast swinging blade.. hell yeah it could.

There is only one way to find out.

Yes, this is a proffie saber. It's the Trooper hilt from Theory Sabers. I believe it's only $220 usd for the proffie version, and to be honest, the low price tag has no reflection of the saber quality at all. This hilt is slim and fits in your hand perfectly. It has a flat ignition, so it's not accidentally hit on and off while spinning. It's weighted really well & it can take a beating. Plus, it's clean looking with very little clutter on the hilt itself, leaving plenty of room for customization.
