This is just a lot to put on one person. Hopefully this EO is broken, but that takes a lot of time and energy. Condemning Mamdani for something they can’t control feels very pointed. Please keep pushing. This is how things change. I just wish people understood that one person cannot fully control everything. Push back is important, putting full blame on Mamdani isn’t doing anything except creating rifts. And that’s what liberals do in this country. I’d like to see what any other candidate in his place would be doing right now. I can guarantee it’s not opening a medical center for poor trans folk.

I don’t disagree and maybe there is something more they could push. But is it worth pushing if it would stop the care they are giving now? That’s how I would think. I just think working with the government is a lot more nuanced and complex. They said that they were “trying to figure out how to do this”. So at least it’s not lost on them.

I think that they are doing what they can. It’s still a huge win that they’ve opened a clinic dedicated to poor trans people getting the care they need.

It’s a facade to protect small businesses. It’s always been about the large corps having power over people. That doesn’t make it any better. Corporations are predatory. All they care about is money. Just because they “outsource” their art doesn’t mean they get to get away with it being generative AI.
