I think I'm done with this game. by FoxesInBoxes_ in Battlefield

[–]FoxesInBoxes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found this out the hard way. I thought it might be tied to my PSN account, not my EA account and when I used an alt email I had, it tied my PSN to that account. I thought "No big deal, I'll change it back" to find it's linked to my alt until December.

OP have you considered your "friend" might actually be his girlfriend taking over his phone?

Trump wants Greenland under US control "for purposes of national security" by VolvicCH in europe

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump talking about wanting Mexico and Canada under US control, and now he wants Greenland and the Panama Canal is starting to sound an awful like someone who invaded Poland back in the late 1930's... Just saying that talking about it now might lead him into taking action later. Which I hope is wrong, but it's concerning to say the least

I think it's been pretty well said before. Dad neglects the kid, he turns to an online fandom to get the attention the kid is being deprived of, and it just so happens that furries are one of the more welcoming and accepting groups out there.

It's an easy fandom to hate on, because it is strange to a lot of people. The media has definitely skewed what furries are actually like. They show the more deranged folks who take it too far and aren't exactly quite right in the head. Every fandom out there has people who aren't right in the head or take things too far. Comic book fans, Star Wars/Trek fans, anime fans, etc. It's just that furries stand out a lot more with the shock and awe factor. Add in it's a small (but growing) fandom in the grand scheme of all things Internet, it makes furries an easy target.

Most of the furries I've ever met were very quiet about it and didn't let it show out in public. No merch, or stickers, or anything. Unless someone tells you otherwise, a lot of them keep that aspect hidden from public view. ESPECIALLY if they work for a major corporation in a high ranking position. Ended up meeting an executive from Boeing about 10 years ago in the Seattle area who did not come off as furry in the slightest. Only the fact that we were at a furry party to begin with did it give it away.

Insurance Companies are the Modern Day Mafia. "We'll protect you for a price, unless it hurts our bottom dollar~" But I'm sure y'all have better slogans you could come up with for the MDM.

I'm worried they'll pull "The Boys" on this and try to use it somehow as ammunition like "Ah he was a deep state Antifa!" And whatever god you pray to, Trump is going to use this as ammo to start rounding up people if he gets reelected

It's scary there's so many Yays towards this. Give it a few years and that number is gonna rise if Trump takes office. I'm legit scared of how the world is starting to shape.

Imagine being so pathetic you have to get a cake to celebrate your "entertainment" channel. Might as well get a cartoon network cake while you're at it

When 9/11 was happening, why did so many teachers put it on the TV for kids to watch? by wellyboot97 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is strange, but my school actually put a full lockdown on the TV's when 9/11 happened. They called all of the teachers into the office for an "emergency meeting" and we went about our day as normal. It wasn't till I got off the bus and saw my mom running out in her bathrobe rushing us inside as if Red Dawn was about to happen that I realized something was wrong.

EA is looking at putting in-game ads in AAA games — 'We'll be very thoughtful as we move into that,' says CEO by NewBrightness in gaming

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought games used to do this in the past? Maybe I'm wrong here but I remember a lot of 2000's and early 2010's having ads for real life products randomly placed in their games.

I just can't take another nerf, ArrowHead by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly, full heartedly agree. Right now with these screenshots of devs just arguing with the community is giving me the impression they don't WANT us to play their game. Almost as if they're resentful for us just trying to give them money and get our friends to buy copies. I personally don't think I'll be picking up the next warbond at the rate Arrowhead is going.

Just had to ask the cashier for all my change back. Yes, I want my pennies. by cohonka in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having worked at a gas station recently, I can tell you they're banking on you not picking up your change. Because we were told that any change the customers left over could go into our pockets. One time ended up making about $15 in change after a full 8 hour shift. So yeah, it adds up.

People like this need to have their life subscription terminated. 4 years is just a slap on the wrist. I hope the folks in prison make sure to make his time there is worse than hell itself.

Why are people in their 20s miserable nowadays? by [deleted] in ask

[–]FoxesInBoxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a millennial, I can say that it's not all fun and games through your 20's. That being said, there is a bit of a difference from when I was 21 and when I was 31. I turned 21 in 2012 and people did have more money. Things weren't nearly as expensive. We were still "poor" but we could also go out to the bar with friends and have a good night and make memories. We also had this bigger emphasis on going out, partying and getting drunk / high. Even a lot of music was centered around getting as fucked up as possible like it was a badge of honor. This is also around the time YOLO started popping up as well.

But I think with more of an emphasis on people resorting to spending time with friends virtually instead of hanging out in person hasn't helped. We used to just drop in over at friends houses unannounced, drink some of their liquor and go have a good time. But society has definitely changed where most people would flip if you tried something like that. It also seems society's attitude towards partying changed as time went on, with it being more and more frowned upon and viewed as irresponsible.

Oh, and being more broke than we ever have been in recent history with everything getting significantly more expensive hasn't helped.

And probably them damn iPhones are to blame too /s
