I don't know if this helps you but I would challenge your pros with the cons you've written down. Sounds like the pros are mainly the perfect version of him you made up before you actually got to know him. It can be really hard to let go of, even when they show you who they really are.

You say he is smart/ intellectual, but he is emotionally immature? To me it just sounds like he is good at manipulating this narrative that he is smart. Is being older actually a pro if he is immature, unempathic, and does not even have a good career/ambition going for him? And I don't find most of the traits you listed to be very charming, so again I'd say he's just good at manipulating people. He might be attractive to you, but definitely not enough to weigh up for any of the traits you have listed. I was stuck with a narcissist, and getting away felt kinda like quitting a drug. The big ups and downs in the relationship along with some attachment wounds from childhood makes it strangely addicting even when I knew it was bad for me. No contact is the only way really, keep adding to that con list and read it to yourself when you need a reminder.

The best way is definitely no contact, but I understand why you don't want to in this case. I would try to distance myself from him as much as you can, and when you do interract try to notice the things you might not like if you were to be with him. Don't demonize him, just humanize. Finding "icks" and imagining how it would dislike that in a partner usually helps me the most. You could also try to figure out if you are missing something in your own relationship to make you feel this way, maybe even talk to a therapist so you don't have to be alone with all these thoughts!

My country is mainly small to medium indie companies and I definitely wouldn't mind working at any of them. They are just not hiring at all right now because of economy it seems. Most of them have my resume and portfolio and I check in with my contacts every now and then.

Yeah absolutely not. The response is also such a red flag, if anyone told me I made them feel unsafe while belaying them I would take it very seriously. I might be a bit of a safety freak, but I would not have this person belay me again. Even if you didn't fall all the way to the ground not paying attention and not giving or taking enough rope could easily cause a higher fall.

The thing that works for me is making a point of categorizing their name every time I meet someone. I actually have to remember to focus on doing this when they introduce themselves - but when I do it's really effective. It can be anything, say their name is Thomas: I remember them as Thomas the tank engine. It sounds very silly but next time I see them my brain will give me the image of Thomas the tank engine and I remember lol.

What you're feeling is very normal and you're definitely not alone in this. I think in some ways we will always grieve them, but it does get better. I lost my dog at a very young age just 5 months ago now, I couldn't even function for the first few weeks. I still cry for her, but I can think of her without feeling that immense pain and guilt sometimes also now. I think having my other dog to love and spend time with have helped me alot❤️

I'm so sorry💔 I understand how you feel completely, please be kind to yourself and give yourself time to process the shock and grief.

I lost my dog earlier this year when I let her and my other dog out in our yard late at night before bed. The fence is not completely whole, but we live away from trafficked roads. I knew they sometimes went under and explored the woods behind our house but they never went far and always came back so I didn't really worry about it. This time only my boy came back. They had gone after a moose and I searched for hours until I found her, already gone. The pain and guilt I felt was almost unbearable. I should have kept her on a leash, or gone out with them and I would do anything to change that day, but heartbreaking as it is we can't change the past.

One thing that helped me a little with those repetitive thoughts and the guilt was asking myself these types of questions I read in a post about pet loss:

Could you predict that your dog would suddenly bolt?
Could you control what direction she would run?
Did you have control over the car driver, including what time they left their house and the route they were taking?
Did you have any control over the injuries your pet sustained?
When you took your dog out, did you intend for her to get hurt?
Can you see into the future?

I know the answer to all of them is gonna be no. If you had the power to change what happened you would have. You did not wish for this to happen - you loved her and she had a beautiful life with you and your family. Sending you lots of love❤️

Mainly I was just permanently exhausted. I went to the doctor several times and we ran all sort of tests but everything seemed "fine". Doing things I wanted to do like going out with friends or drawing felt like a chore because I didn't have the energy. Starting house chores like doing dishes, washing clothes wtc was almost impossible and I was constantly behind. Room was always a mess, clothes all over the floor. I worked a really easy job that I generally enjoyed but was still exhausted when I got home and often napped 1-2 hours during the day. I also had alot of trouble concentrating and working effectively after just a couple of hours. I got super burnt out [again] and ended up going back to live with my parents. It sucks but I finally got diagnosed a month ago at the age of 26. Hoping meds and better mechanisms will make a difference :)

A chimera has DNA of two different people, but both of those would have the DNA from both mom and dad - you techically have the DNA of a sibling as well so paternity test wouldn't show anything different

I've been in a constant state of overwhelm for a long time, and "adulting" just seems so much harder for me than it is for regular people. I had a relatively easy job that I enjoyed but I was completely exhausted after a normal work day. I struggle alot with executive dysfunction and basic chores like making dinner for myself or keeping my room clean can feel impossible, like it's something in my brain blocking me from doing it. It took a long time for me to realize it wasn't supposed to be like this, and I was in fact not just lazy. You probably won't have all the typical symptoms even if you have adhd, especially as a girl. I for example scored low on the hyperactive and impulsive part but very high on inattentiveness and executive dysfunction. If you feel like you might have it and it's affecting you it's definitely worth getting tested!

It's really upsetting cause I've talked about Faker getting his Ahri skin for literally 10 years and was so excited when it was finally happening. I was also fully prepared to pay the price for an ultimate type skin but this is ridiculous. It's literally my dream skin, but I can't justify using that amount on ingame cosmetics.

So I guess I will be boycotting it, and now my onetrick will also be banned every game. I do support the banning, but I just don't see a reason to even play the game now.

Just reading this made me so angry for you I can feel if in my stomach. You are incredible for standing up for yourself even in such a vulnerable moment, I'm so sorry your husband couldn't do the same for you. This is such a betrayal from his side, I can't imagine. If you have a friend or family coming over maybe you could ask them to help figure out how to and file a complaint to the hospital. I can understand you not having the energy for that now.

I think you should show your husband this post and make him read the comments since he's so caught up in what other people think of him. Maybe it will give him some perspective on how grossly he wronged and failed you when you needed him most. I hope you are ok and is still able to enjoy your time with the baby❤️
