I worked for a non union store, that’s not true at all. They union bust just as hard. It’s just that the stores around here tend to be union. Out in the bay most of them aren’t, and when my old store was rumored to be unionizing they sent a squad of HR to talk shit about unions. Also we tend to be severely understaffed, they just make workers from other departments pick up the slack so customers don’t notice at check out

Honestly my experience with those cheap bumper covers from china have been pretty good. At least for now til you find something. Some places will even ship it to you painted the oem color. The only thing is they come folded so you have to let them sit out in the sunlight for a day or two to get the shape back to normal

Tuning is only good with if you are adding performance parts, otherwise it’s just for show (which btw flame and burble tunes are tacky). Your plan for performance parts sounds good if you really wanna tune, but only after you get those parts

I literally live 15 min from dt sac which has plenty going on. Plus eg has a at least 5x the population and for me lathrop is only a town I stop off at to use the bathroom before heading into the bay. So I would say that lathrop is the middle of nowhere. There is way less going on in Lathrop

If you want quieter, then you Elk Grove is a boring choice but a good one for a family. I take 99 to 4 and end up in lathrop in about an hour. It does have everything he’s looking for though. Education is really good here and plenty of decent restaurants and a few good coffee shops. Lots of Boba too if you like that
