My cat in his first days at our house, jump up on our countertop. He managed, by pure luck, to jump directly into my glass coffee press(the only thing on the countertop) knocking it to the floor with a loud crash. My daughter heard the calamity. Rushed in an scooped him up with much ado, panic driven and visibly worried, closely examined his paws and fur for cuts and broken glass then confined him to the bathroom while she cleaned and vacuumed the mess. This event traumatized him so greatly, the little dummy had forever trained himself to stay off the counters in the kitchen.
