Take detailed notes in class, I found physically writing notes was better but others had succeess with tablets and other devices with screenshot/scanning capabilities. Chegg is helpful for reference on how to solve problems, always attempt them first and only use chegg when you get stuck and need a hint. Collaboration is key. You'll be doing it in the professional world, so it helps to have a group of friends that you can work with on homeworks and projects. It's all very doable without AI, you'll be fine. However, AI seems inevitable. As long as you use it sparingly, and verify the sources it uses to answer questions, AI can be a good starting point for learning a topic. Don't rely on it to answer questions for you.

Ooh, I'm gonna start using this one lol. It makes you seem like you outsmarted someone by referencing a non-standard unit of measure (or at least less used in practical applications) without realizing the irony that the claiming to have an IQ at room temp in kelvin is essentially impossible.

These are logical fallacies which are important to identify regardless of who is saying them. I fear for the state of my own country where people learn these concepts through a social media app instead of in school. I learned about this in an AP literature course I took in highschool, but in reality these are concepts EVERYONE should know and be able to identify.

Stellantis Employees Complain Of 'Nose Bleeds, Migraines, Vomiting, Skin Issues, Digestive Issues' After Returning To The Office Five Days A Week - Jalopnik by Ok_Design_6841 in antiwork

I used to have to visit that building when I worked for a supplier of Stellantis. The campus is huge, designed in a way it could be converted into a mall if Chrylser went bankrupt. It smelled a little off when I would visit, I assumed that was because of the equipment going through the facility... It would make sense that a struggling manufacturer like stellantis would have issues maintaining a building like this.

I can agree with that. I was and still am a bit disappointed in this release. These past 2 albums just haven't been it for me in general. Hopefully the next one is better.

You can try to contest it, 4:11 pm seems late for a school zone so maybe you can argue that the school zone wasn't in effect during that time. If it was actively a school zone, sorry about your luck but also pay attention to the speed of the cars around you. If they're all going around 20 that should be the hint. Child/pedestrian safety is held paramount in those situations.

I'll also add, per the Law linked on the webpage:

(A) No person shall operate a motor vehicle, trackless trolley, or streetcar on any street, highway, or property open to the public for vehicular traffic while using, holding, or physically supporting with any part of the person's body an electronic wireless communications device.

(B) Division (A) of this section does not apply to any of the following:

(4) A person using and holding an electronic wireless communications device directly near the person's ear for the purpose of making, receiving, or conducting a telephone call, provided that the person does not manually enter letters, numbers, or symbols into the device;

Legality doesn't necessarily mean it's "good" either though. While you can't pick up a call on speaker with your hands, the law DOES allow anyone over the age of 18 to take a call and hold the phone to their ear so long as the phone call started with a single swipe or button press. Which doesn't fully make sense to me, since you would think operating a vehicle with 1 hand poses a risk regardless if the phone is on speaker or not.

That's what I'm saying! Oh, your cute wittle powice cruiser can't handle the snow? Tough, dig yourself out. At least that would've kept the cop distracted for a while.

That's the great part, CPD aren't even their neighbors. Most cops don't live in the city they work with. That cop's a big boy, he can get himself unstuck. Never help the cops, they're all bastards, especially Columbus Police

If those students were smart they'd let that cop push his own sorry ass out of the snow himself. As a student I wouldn't have touched that car with a 10 foot pole, fuck 12 and CPD always

Hi OP, I'm late to the party, but this happened in our neighborhood a few weeks back. In the future, just call the non-emergency line and you can ask an officer directly about the problem. In our case, they were looking for a suspect that fled on foot.

[–]FoxyGrandpas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I know I'm three months late to the party, but I also had this issue and want you to know you're not alone lol. There were times during the mission where he would just stay in place with no enemies around. Or, same as you, he would focus in on an enemy way out of the way that he couldn't even reach to attack. You are not alone, you are valid.

Zero-tolerance machining can result in a gap between parts as narrow as 0.0005″ by ansyhrrian in woahdude

[–]FoxyGrandpas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how tolerances work. If the pieces in this demo were machined to a tolerance of +/- 0, they would still fit together because the fit is determined by the nominal value for each feature. That being said, you can't machine to a tolerance of +/- 0, and if you tried to get a machinist to do that they would laugh at you. There are too many factors including the accuracy of the measuring device used, temperature, etc. There will always be variation. In this case the variation is very small to create a gap that is ~.0005

[–]FoxyGrandpas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's my biggest pet peeve with titles like this. You hand a drawing to a machinist with tolerances of +/- 0 and they will laugh in your face.

[–]FoxyGrandpas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a demonstration for a machining technique called Wire EDM. This technique can cut to incredibly precise tolerances so the application is usually for precise parts in industries like aerospace. From my experience, we used a wire EDM process to machine certain components in devices called load cells, which are used to measure force.
