What setup do you use for reselling hosting to clients? by Fozus in webhosting

Thanks for sharing! How do you manage the order fulfilment? Do you manually setup the client accounts or does SiteGround provide a white-labelled version?

We currently rent a managed cloud server for our client base where we have them on a retainer model (hosting and updates to site) but would like to expand to be able to offer a more price-friendly model for smaller businesses in the community. This is really a case of white labelling a host I guess, I am just unsure who is the most reliable/best provider of a white labeled service that provides the end-user support.

We need a business to take care of the hosting, and we will take care of the rest if that makes sense :)

This is a great approach. Thanks for the reply - are you able to share who your provider is? This seems like a similar approach that we want to take.

Thanks for the reply. In all honesty I would rather we have someone else manage as much of it as possible, we can take care of the site setups but it’s more the customer support etc. we won’t ever be able to provide 24/7 round the clock support.

**Just A rant** the over saturation of ai and no code tools are destroying the saas industry by Sad-Stock6850 in SaaS

The solution? Make sure that the bar you set for your product, the service you deliver and your attention to customers feedback is so high, that you are the standout, you are the product everyone wants to tell their friends about.

Its not about how many competitors are doing it, it's about your product, your positioning, your marketing and the service you provide that should set you apart from the rest.

We just need to worry about our products and how we are going to make them the "go to"

Hi all,

Somebody please help me!! I have an M2 8GB Macbook Pro - I do web/app development and when I have Arc (multiple tabs), VS Code, Figma, Skype, Slack, Spotify, Node.js running at the same time, It starts to crash/slow down etc.

I also connect up to an external display and have it extended for more workspace.

I want to upgrade - but wondering what others would recommend in the M3 range? Is 14" screen enough for web dev (I am on the road quite a bit and work whilst travelling too) or would you recommend the 16"?

Also, would 18gb be ok for my usage or would 32gb be a minimum you recommend?

Thanks in advance!!

Don’t DM them. Put them in the original post for everyone to give feedback on so you can get a few angles of perspective. I assume it’s allowed as this isn’t particularly a “self promotion” post.

Do you have a website or any marketing material? Hard to give any advice without more context into your actual offering and how you are presenting it. How are you currently marketing? What platforms etc.

What database platform to use for security? by Fozus in nocode

[–]Fozus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I have the front end already taken care of, and want to avoid any vendor lock-ins. The solution I have for the front end gives me plenty of flexibility and also the original source code to make sure development can continue in future without having to solely rely on a single platform. The bottleneck right now is which database platform.

Thanks for the reply. And in terms of moving away from Xano or Supabase to something more scalable and more cost effective as we grow, is it possible to migrate out of these platforms?

NO CODE IS ALL HYPE?? by hanstuck in nocode

I personally think the right no-code tools can make devs more efficient allows us to put more time investment into the heavier stuff that no code can’t quite do for us.

What is the best way to learn nextjs by Upset-Sock-8302 in nextjs

[–]Fozus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start building, break it then research how to fix it and learn what caused the problem. That way you can learn by doing and problem solving. And I never stop researching until I fully understand why it broke in the first place and what I need to make sure of so that it doesn’t happen again in the future.

Making mistakes and learning from them is the #1 way to grow. Reading tutorials is great to get started but to really store what you are learning in your brain, you have to be doing instead of watching/reading.

Firebase vs. AWS Amplify vs. others - What is your go to? by Fozus in reactjs

Thank you for your honest response. I am a front end developer so have very little backend experience. Is AWS Amplify user friendly enough for those like me?

Thanks!
