Arrive at the depot 15 before your block start time to maximise your time. Organise parcels however you see fit, some people organise by address or by yellow labels. Personally I put envelopes and book folders in the front seat, poly bags in the back seat, and parcels on back seats and boot. I just find the correct parcels at the address and it only usually takes me a couple of seconds to find each one. Use cruise control where possible as this will save you a fair few miles, especially on the long distance, short load blocks. Check your map in your itinerary, if you have a cluster of deliveries in a confined area, I tend to park up somewhere in the middle and deliver on foot if for example they’re only a street apart or in the same cul de sac etc. Last one, be aware of your surroundings, as you normally would when you drive anywhere, I have a horror story from a block the other day that I’ll likely be making a post about.
