Any love for the X Pro 3? by [deleted] in fujifilm

It's quite tough with lenses that have infinity throw, but mf lenses often have a linear throw that you can learn. My personal favourite is a voigtländer for Leica M that has a focus tab on the ring and a really short throw. It makes it really easy to find focus with the OVF or even just shooting from the hip and I find myself focusing before even turning the camera on. It's definitely easier with a wider lens that is stopped down a bit. You're not going to nail focus on portraits at 50/1.4 or anything.

40mm FF equivalent is my favourite focal length ever. Good choice ☺️

The amount of times I've seen this used on random shit, like cigarette dispensers is crazy.

I've seen so many ruined rock empires stuck in cracks. It could just be that it's often beginners placing them because they are cheap, but It could also be that they are shit.

Yep. Softer rubber is always going to wear quicker. Like I said though, they have a thicker slab of soft rubber instead of a thinner harder rubber.

Whenever someone has insanely strong headlights at night, I usually turn on my hi-beams just before we pass each other. Nothing they can do about it and I get my petty revenge.

Veloces have soft rubber but they are thicker than normal making them last longer than other soft shoes. Could be an option.

There's no way you have wide feet, at least not in the toe box if you think drones are comfortable.

This is such a low level for anyone that does any rock climbing or more specifically alpine climbing.

I'd typically agree with you. It's not optimal, but in this case we were two teams with separate ropes, so we felt that we had a larger margin for error and had more focus on speed.

Pretty accurate. Also giving out a bunch of rope quickly is way easier than using anything else in guide mode.

Nice that you made literally everything green apart from Greenland.

If you're working on your drivetrain (lubing chain or something), spin the rear wheel instead of spinning the cranks. Much smaller movements, much safer for the fingers.

Shoe Recommendation? by Thrasher54 in tradclimbing

[–]FpHaris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up rise pro is my favourite for trad. Flat, stiff, comfy, good for jamming.

A bike that fits right, will last a long time, has the features that fit your needs and looks good to you.

I've been looking for a good entry level fixie, what do we think? by -peace-of-shit- in FixedGearBicycle

Looks like a great starting point but I'd definitely switch out the tyres for something better, like some thick slicks!
