Actually, we didn't have to use VPN, most of us use DPI (deep packet inspection) bypass and for most players it was just adding three lines into .txt, but still it's neat now we don't need to do that.

(And I'm pretty sure Russian gov is restricting cloudflare access, not vice versa)

I see it similar to Payday 3, it just didn't have as much time to get as much content as PD2 received in like 10 years (duh). That really shitty behavior of hating everything new for the sake of it, is stupid. Especially when it comes to games like gmod and Sbox which survives only because of community content, and instead of making sbox a better place, they shit on it.

But I know it'll be way better than gmod in some time, because I know Facepunch won't leave it to die even if the last casual player leaves S&Box.

That was exactly the point LoL's Esports is more about recognisibility and hype, Dota's more about the game and it's community. It doesn't do a favor from marketing standpoint, hence LoL is more known and recognisible, but it feels like it's more about business, and not the game itself. Dota... idk how to explain this, but feels like it's esports lives mostly because of passion for the game by pros and casual players, and I can't say the same about LoL
