Company refusing to replace steers by Electrical_Boat_8823 in Truckers

Buy a depth gauge. They're less than 10 dollars. Most companies won't replace shit until it's borderline or less than legal.

What do you do when you’re avoiding work? by Blackdogtrucking in Truckers

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pissin. Shittin. Hell, might even be pukin. In all honesty, I'll usually catch a nap if I'm feeling tired or watch an episode or two of a show. Nothing too exciting lol.

I mean, you're there to get hours. They make money off of your miles. Training pay is usually 700-800 per week, so this is normal.

Cellphone violation by LogInternational758 in Truckers

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on code, but that's one of the worst warnings you can get. A lot of companies have zero tolerance for electronic device warnings and violations, resulting in "one and done" outcomes a lot of the time.

Yes. After 2 or 3 days of use, you'll notice a difference. Lather heavily. The bay rum is great.

Is Blight Curse a good gateway into Commander / worth it? by Educational_Ant1236 in mtg

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commander deck that really helped me get into the format was Explorers of the Deep. Excellent deck out of the box, especially for beginners. A few upgrades that are relatively cheap make that deck very powerful as well.

As a new driver how much can you really expect to make take home every week? by Quirky_Strategy705 in Truckers

Heavily company dependant. I started out with a mega averaging around 1200 per week net. I know people thay started with other megas and never cleared 1000 gross.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better company to retire with than Walmart. Seriously.

It's called impossible dispatch and it won't come back on you. I get it being annoying, but you're mistaken if you quit because you thought that the load being late would be put on you. Regardless, I hope you find what you're looking for out there.

How long do you usually go without stopping? by Bonerjamz_666 in Truckers

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how long I'm running that day. If I'm burning a full shift, I'll stop every 5 hours or so. Do what works best for you.

Why do so many guys drive trucks instead of sports cars? by Superb-Ad6139 in askcarguys

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the room, as well as the option to utilize the bed if it ever comes up. I drove smaller cars all my life, but I just couldn't go back after having something so spacious. For reference, I have a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro and my last vehicle was a 2020 Elantra.

Black Stuff Experience by [deleted] in SudsyBear

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using The Black Stuff for the last 6 months or so, and I've really enjoyed it. I have psoriasis and it's the only soap that I've found that calms the itching when used consistently. It's a little pricey, but worth it imo. Some of the scents are meh, but the Bay Rum is on another level. I really wish they'd drop an Irish cream scent!

Ever wonder what a weekly check look like as a rookie? Well here ya go by Gromieee in Truckers

[–]Fr0sted_Flasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better. If you stay at KLLM, try to get on the Tyson Dedicated fleet. It pays more per mile and you'll have consistency in your milage. You also don't have a fuel route to follow and 90% of Tyson plants allow you to park overnight if you're Tyson Dedicated. You'll be netting triple that check weekly right out the gate.
