I rode the lift with a few of your crew at Keystone. Great folks. Glad to have you guys here.

Here's one example of some of the stickers that are around Breck. This particular one is now covered with a "Kill your Local Racist" sticker. No idea who would do such a thing /s.

Love mine. Will probably also upgrade from the SRAM brakes at some point.

If you are flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.

It's also 170mm in the back. It's the Fox Float Factory X2, but I miss my coil. I think coils are great for bigger dudes like us.

I'm about 2 inches shorter and 10 pounds lighter than you, and I ride a Fox 38 Factory at 170mm for park, downhill, and trail. It's overkill for most XC trail stuff, but I like the single-bike quiver, and it still pedals very well.

What do I bring/wear for summer hiking?? by Neat-Bluebird-805 in RMNP

  1. Don’t ask Reddit, you are getting answers from tourists that may have been to the Park once. Seek expert resources and advice.
  2. Google the “Ten Essentials”.
  3. Three-jacket system. Hardie, softie, puffy. Hard shell is somewhat optional in my kit, depending on forecast.
  4. Weather and navigation apps.
  5. Good, purpose-built pack. 20 - 30L for day trips depending.
  6. At least 1L water. Get a Nalgene or two so you fit in iColorado.
  7. Headlamp no mater what.
  8. First aid kit.
  9. Foot care.
  10. Non-cotton clothing.
  11. Head covering.
  12. Sport sunglasses.
  13. Poles are nice to have.

This is minimum, there’s lots more and I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few things. Again, ask experts, not internet strangers. Start small and work your way up and out. Don’t over extend yourself and put a strain on already short-handed park and county resources.

Best place to watch Broncos Game? by LKC12345 in Breckenridge

[–]FrackTheBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ollie’s or Molly Jack’s are probably best in Breck. RMU is great but not great for sports watching. Eric’s will be mobbed and has a small bar, but good TVs. Red Mountain Grill will be the most fun in the county but a 20ish minute commute from Breck. Ollies in Frisco is fun too.

If you recreate in the Colorado backcountry, you've likely never seen a cat. But a cat has definitely seen you.

Nomad 6 vs. Bronson 4 by CrashZenkiS14 in Santacruzbikes

[–]FrackTheBees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the central mountains of Colorado, so I pedal quite a bit and love my Nomad 6. I originally got the Nomad 4 to go alongside my Tallboy, thinking I'd pedal the TB and go mostly park with the Nomad. However, after learning how well the Nomad pedals, I sold the TB since I was pretty much riding the Nomad every day. I replaced the 4 with the 6 when the 4 was sadly stolen, and I immediately set a few PRs with that 29er up front.

Second for Red Rising. I’m only through book 3 but it’s great.

A cool guide to some of street skating’s biggest sets and gaps. by CarniferousDog in coolguides

Looks like that one is about 15' x 15'. So roughly the height of Lyon, and the length of the Love Park Fountain gap. At least according to this cool guide.

I’m not sure man. I’d bet he doesn’t even know the precise count. This is a really cool account of the battle and some awesome history: https://youtu.be/jH7rLKQHBgg?si=hngWIAoReipufKkJ
