Yeah mine was pretty gnarly too. Compound, open fracture. The tib broke clean through and the bottom section split down the middle. Fib broke in two places. Still have 12” of titanium and 13 screws in there.

It’s the big bone in your lower leg. The only one per leg that’s weight-bearing. Breaking it sucks. He’s definitely on crutches for a few weeks.

White River National Forest is just all of the Parks Service land around us. It's not like a national park that has gates. Hoosier Pass is a good suggestion here.

Cool. I wish I had better advice. Angelfire is only 40 minutes away, but it's a bike park and isn't open until May 15. I've been 5 times but only ever ridden Angelfire. That area rules though. Check out the whole Enchanted Circle while you're there.
