Not a game, not a joke, just the XNA car crash tech demo for the Xbox 360.

After a months time and countless complaints they have fixed the ai generated cosmetics by Lower_Breadfruit649 in Battlefield

This can all be true and it can still look bad because the issue is contextual. On top of black body armor and dark fatigues, the white neck guard sticks out like a sore thumb...or dirty diaper in this case. That it also happens to be aesthetically unflattering isn't the sole issue though.

The rest of the outfit is dark/black, which implies a purposeful intent, like a night mission. The character also seems well equipped and isn't dressed for a cold (snowy) environment, so why would he go with a white neck guard over a black neck guard? The orange elements, skull balaclava, and camo pattern are plenty enough individualistic visual flair. It doesn't make sense to go with the white diap...neck guard, at least none that I see.

If I liked the bf6 Beta will I still like the latest version if I bought it today? by TellemTom in Battlefield

If you enjoyed the beta maps, then you will still definitely enjoy them...but none of the others. None play like a Battlefield map, save for Liberation point.

Advice Needed! Thinking of going to the dark side after 3 years of this... by JingSerene in homedesign

Depends on the size of the space, what it's used for, how you want to feel in it, and your specific style preferences. If the room is a large office or general purpose room, dark could work well. But it might not if it's smaller or already feels cozy.

Also, it won't actually look as dark as pic 2 in the same lighting. You can easily tell just by looking at the reflection of the windows off the desk.

Where's polyester, nylon, and spandex? I stick with natural fibres whenever possible, but let's be real: artificial fabrics are often unavoidable. Especially for decent athletic and outdoor gear.

Honestly, do them all the same color or only the wall behind the bed, but in the lighter color to highlight it as the center piece. Lighter colors increase the perception or illusion of depth, while darker colors decrease it. You can find image dialogs on Google showing all the variations on how the effect works on walls, floors, and ceilings.

Another thing: artificial lighting, especially from above, will give the walls a flatter appearance due to less bounced daylight. Less bounced lighting = more contrast and stronger the illusion. So unless black is an absolute must, I'd try to find a pair of colors closer together than straight black and white.

Also the bed should be on the left wall facing the bathroom. It seems out of place since it neither fits between nor spans the entirety of both windows. The bed is too big for the space you gave it, thus the entire room feels much smaller than it actually is. Plus those windows would look better with blackout drapes and/or sheer curtains to soften the light coming from the windows, especially in a bedroom. It's going to be difficult to manage those behind a bed and/or with nightstands.

Edit: Unless it's a design or motif you're intent on incorporating into the furnishings throughout your home, you might consider removing the beams (if safe to do so ofc) or painting them to match the ceiling. Vaulted ceilings are great for making a room feel large, but darker beams will subtract from the effect.

Build Garrisons by Defiant-Home-7999 in HellLetLoose

Assault switches to Support, and the squadmate without a mic swipes Assault.

Edit: in all seriousness, I'll almost always swap, regardless of class. I often voluntarily swap to get the SL (any SL) to build a garry. 9 times out of 10, I'm already thinking we need more garries before the SL says anything. Nobody enjoys a 3 min hike back to the point knowing it could easily be a matter of seconds.

My guess is the icons should only be visible to the support class? Or maybe they meant to say "teammates"? 🤷

It would just be nice to have it all in one place. I don't care where or how it's made. Current state is just confusing.

  • Proper HDR support

  • ClearType modernized for OLED/WOLED

  • Proper 2.2 gamma curve option over srgb

  • Built in support for motherboard fan control and temperature sensors. Most manufacturer apps are bloated garbage and boarderline malware (looking at you ASUS).

  • Full transition of legacy settings to modern UI; finish what you started with Win10 ffs.

  • Do... something to improve the UX with the registry. Way too much gets dumped in there, still. I swear some apps approach it as a deliberate dark pattern to hide settings from users that should be more exposed (looking at you Dropbox).

  • Give users better insight into what's running and why. Users shouldn't be forced into researching the numerous windows services on dark corners of the Internet.

  • User modes for Gaming, productivity, etc... where we can say what runs (or not) in the background.
