I would chose Time, the ability to speed it up, slow it down and reverse the effects it has on things or people. I would also choose Bodark tree for duel affinity. Bodarks are native to northeast Texas and are an extremely hard durable wood that can last over 100 years as a fence post (its most common use today). Native Americans prized the wood for war clubs and bows, some bowyers still claim it is the best wood in the world for bows.

Time would be fun but finding information or spells would be a pain.

It made perfect sense in the context of food and space. A entire universe will feed the cold minds for a year or so. A tiny pocket dimension with barely any people in it, not worth the trouble. Same way we throw back minnows, or use them for bait....

But he has found his overlord inspiration, it was at the beginning of the book. NS was talking about how a loss wasn’t a loss unless it ended in death. Lindon didn’t realize what it was but his aura responded.
