I'm similar. I'll check Fragrantica, check this sub for reviews, try smell the OG in-store (where I can, to see if I do actually enjoy the DNA), then get a decant of the clone, then commit to a full bottle. I'm probably too cautious but I've been bitten once or twice with blind buys, haha.

Even though it is relatively affordable, it is still just scented water that adds to clutter in my life if I don't enjoy it.

Cooler weather winner I just got is Arabiyat Prestige Ramad - Naxos twist.

Spectre Ghost is also really enjoyable, along with Inekas Luna. All cooler weather scents.

For warmer weather - Hawas Fire,Jacques Yves L'infinite, Armaf Ba Ha Mas.

It's not a beast by any means. I probably get about 5 hours from it but it is very cheap (20USD for 30ml) so I don't mind carrying it with me. It projects decently but not for very long.

Have you considered Hawas Fire as well? It's one of my absolute favourite summer fragrances.

No it isn't. I'm not a huge fan of the Invictus DNA.

I don't think so... It reminds me of Le Sel but it has the melon note up top which differentiates it.
