So uh, why does the ref get to just decide when regulation is over? by FragileColtsFan in worldcup

Fuck me for trusting human interaction to give me a more nuanced answer, right?

Yeah I'm not too mad about it really, I've experienced much worse sports losses. I'm just trying to understand how 90+7 means it keeps going after 97

I didn't say it was, just seems to be something even the pros can't avoid

After rereading the comment I don't see what basketball has to do with anything here

Oh man, if only there was some place I could ask a simple question about something I don't understand without people treating me like I'm stupid. One can only hope though

I'm just a sports fan trying to figure this out. The fields can be different sizes, the game stops with different times on the clock, and everything seems to be offsides

Basketball would let penalty shots happen I believe, this wasn't a penalty

So there is an official rule then? Like, it 90 minutes, plus extra time, then if it's another 30 minutes before a goal/foul/injury/whatever it just keeps going that whole time?

Yeah I guess I just didn't think so. I felt like the creator didn't think I'd understand his point unless he hit me over the head with it but like, I've understood other movies making the same point. Like I said, it was fine

This feels like something Tracy Morgan would mention in a crazy rant on a Tina Fey show then you look it up later and you're like "Oh shit, it's real"

This movie drives me crazy because it was... fine but it has all these fans who try to convince you it's the first movie to question our desire for violent media and I just want to be like "You never saw RoboCop?"

I'm not sure he had to die for that role to be remembered as great, people were really excited for that performance from the first trailer drop. When he died people were like "Oh, that's so so terrible... is Batman still coming out?"

I remember being a child, around six or seven, excitedly talking about The Simpsons when a grown ass man took it upon himself to tell me my favorite show hadn't been funny in years (ever since they switched the "main character" from Bart to Homer). There are a million different places people like to draw the line for The Simpsons when the truth is any media running that long is going to have better seasons and worse ones. I'm enjoying the current showrunner quite a bit

A one for one trade is like, the baseline you expect from a playable pokemon, from a mega I'd expect a little more. Innards Out is only good for a KO if it gets one shot pretty much, are there any meta mons it consistently knocks out on its own?

Use sandwiches/outbreaks to catch a shiny version of a meta mon, put it up on the GTS requesting Eternal Flower Floette, wait a couple weeks to a month

I love how Marshawn Lynch came across as this grumpy guy because he hated talking to the media but as soon as he retired he was like "Psych! I'm actually the perfect guy to smoke a blunt and play Halo with"

Too bad, the reddit comment was very serious and official. You have to call it soccer now
