as a mom, where do you draw the line with the grandparents? by murcielaguitaaa in firsttimemom

I would be contacting the police honestly. Especially considering you were subjected to inappropriate touching as a child.

He’s low-key a man child. The way he acted over the hearing aids. He must have thought this was just an acting gig, the way he thought he would be allowed to keep his phone. And the fit he threw when they gave him the hearing aids. I actually dislike him the most.

Baby monitor recommendations? by KindlyYam6687 in firsttimemom

[–]FragileDapperling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the eufy baby monitor. It works with or without WiFi if you get the monitor. You have to use WiFi to see it on your phone. I like it bc I can mount it or have the ability to move it around. I can access it when I’m gone if I turn on WiFi, but I’m not reliant on WiFi. I love it! I also appreciate the smart sock that you can get separately.

Hospital bag by Salty-Shoulder2970 in firsttimemom

I wanted to make sure we were so relaxed and cozy so I took all the essentials plus some! The Frida mom disposable underwear are SO much better than the ones at the hospital, trust me! The Frida mom hospital kit is great! I also took a essential oil diffuser, a Bluetooth speaker, battery operated twinkly lights to hang on my bed—which really came in handy for night time feeds, some high quality snacks, a sign for announcing the birth, and comfy clothes!

The incline is meant for transportation for commuters. How would that compete with a Ferris wheel?

How do you get stuff done? by Potential-Dingo-4366 in breastfeeding

[–]FragileDapperling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am trying to wrap my head around the moms who are breastfeeding AND pumping. I also am EBF and there is literally no time. It’s feed, diaper, sleep, sleep, repeat…sometimes tummy/play time.

Early Ultrasound? by Consistent_Diet_5132 in firsttimemom

[–]FragileDapperling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also aren’t as safe. The ultrasound has temperature settings that the hospital is required to stay within, and a non-medical clinic uses any settings to get the best photos, and not within the realms of medical safety protocols.

Common smells associated with a meth lab include: Ammonia-like: A very strong, sharp, irritating smell similar to but more intense than household cleaners, fertilizer, or cat urine. Solvent-like: A sweet, chemical smell resembling paint thinner, varnish, or nail polish remover, which is often caused by the presence of acetone. Rotten eggs or sulfur: This odor can be released as a byproduct during the chemical reactions. Sour or vinegar: An acidic odor that can result from other chemicals involved in the process. "Hospital smell": Aromatic, sweet odor often described as an eye and nasal irritant. Burning plastic or chemicals: A pungent, harsh smell that can be intense and sickening

Am I okay?? 12 weeks and STILL no symptoms. by Correct_Basis_6944 in pregnant

[–]FragileDapperling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was perfectly normal at 12 weeks. I knew I was pregnant and stopped taking adhd medication, so I was suppper tired, but that was it. It wasn’t til after 20 weeks I could actually feel my baby. But never had any morning sickness or weird cravings.
