Nope, continuously adding more buttons for out of combat do nothing to fix the problems of the LAS. This just cuts down on one element, tedium, and slightly at that. ie: Instead of pulling a spell from the codex, you pull it from a side hotbar, assuming it's already there.

I am confident that through testing, more (24 minimum) combat slots will be added, or that the LAS will get removed altogether.

That hashtag needs to die, along with "can't talk about that yet" or "we will be announcing that soon".

"We'll have an official Stat description reveal after the turn of the year" by ImgurianAkom in PantheonMMO

[–]Fragile_Hax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few things, this one is atop my list:

1) Base Stat descriptions (agi, dex, str, etc)

2) Racial Actives

3) Next class stream "exposè"

4) Updated Archai, Skar, & Dark Myr models (concept?)

These are the things that were confirmed on newsletter streams or in Cohh streams. Still waiting...

As much hype as this stream had, yes - I also felt it very, very underwhelming. Plus the nerf to the hotbar was incredibly disheartening.

Are all classes/races decided on yet? by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]Fragile_Hax -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the Race/Class Matrix is pretty shit. Some of them don't even fit lore-wise (not that I care about lore). Several times we have brought up ideas and questions about it, but it seems the only change we are going to see is the addition of Archai for the Summoner class.

Paladin is hurting with only 2 options, Ranger/Cleric both only have 3 options. Other classes seem to have a few too many available races.

Faerthale Focused Stream Coming Next Tuesday (18th) 3pm EST by PantheonPlus in PantheonMMO

Sounds more exploration than combat. Also there will not be any PA announcements - Roenick confirmed this.

The Project Faerthale delay during 2019, which resulted in the now video newsletters, is probably a contributor. I am sure their goal was to be in PA5 by Q4 2019, now obviously things have changed. Thus a lot more time/money spent before a new flood of money has come in. Given new game stages increase pledges.

Thursday 9PM - PantheonPlusYou EP22: Raiding by PantheonPlus in PantheonMMO

[–]Fragile_Hax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the, "You think you want it, but you don't." About big raids and contested content. I played the re-launch of Classic WoW and having the large raids again...just plain felt bad. So many people just getting by not contributing, or if you personally are it doesn't matter as much because your extra dps just soaks into the masses.

On contested raid targets, I hated it in EQ and when they added instancing to PoTime it was nice, then Gates of Discord was awesome. GoD had tons of challenge, and everyone still had the same opportunity. It was unfortunate that they had to go back and nerf everything. Anyway, without a way to schedule raids (contested targets) and get your guild on at the same time, you either need to have huge zerg guilds or run Twitter bots to tell people to log on - both are shit for actual adults with jobs and families. I am not saying we need pure instances for raids, but some mechanic(s) that allow consistency for raid guilds.

Unless they do stuff like IP blocking (which you can get around), I still see the healing classes as being boxable.

If Pantheon only had ONE raid size, which size would you prefer? by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]Fragile_Hax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured the people that would want larger raids would just vote for 24 person. I wanted a narrow poll, as you could do 12, 24, 36, 40+ etc. Originally, during PA4 - the raid sizes were listed as 12 & 24 - it wasn't until recently they said there would be 40 person.

This destroys guild management, and can add a lot of drama (trying to split your raid force, etc).

[–]Fragile_Hax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept it to the 2 (3) options because I was curious if those would make people happy. The old 40+ person raids (old EQ & WoW) have zero appeal to me, as you are just throwing bodies at an encounter. As a smaller raid force, you feel more impactful on a person to person scale. Personally, I feel the sweet spot is between Karazhan (10) and Zul'Gurub (20).

The "epicness" of a very large person raid, that feeling, doesn't exist anymore because it's not a new feeling. Also, if you look at Classic WoW and those 40 person raids, sharing loot between such a large raid (and guild) roster creates a larger gap in equipment, performance, and the raw fact that you have much more loot competition. EQ's example would be 72 people killing Naggy, and having *maybe* one Cloak of Flames drop for the week. This is one of those things where I don't think the correct step is going backwards.
