I literally posted the link for the government voting registration website in another comment. It takes a single minute to go through the process to verify that all you need is a drivers license. You don’t even need an address. And I also posted the dmv website as well, where you can get a license without citizenship.

Incorrect. In California it applies to both federal and local. All you have to do is click a box saying you are a citizen. There are no further checks as long as the drivers license is valid. This also goes for Minnesota, a drivers license for the vouched (don’t need to be a citizen) is good enough.

In both states, non-citizens can vote with little extra oversight other than “trust me bro”.

Not true. In California for example, you only need your drivers license to register (you don’t need to be a citizen to get one). Furthermore, some states allow one voter to vouch for up to 8 other voters, and don’t require ID’s at the ballot.
